I was the same with my first, no symptoms apart from tiredness and that was at around 10 weeks.

In fact it was only at the scan when we saw our baby that I actually believed I was pregnant!

Not all women have those nasty early symptoms so count yourself lucky!

Good luck with everything!

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 08:14

@ree348 Thank you for sharing that. Ill know around sunday hopefully, are you in the tww?

Hell no! I have 2 children under 2.5 years so they are keeping me more than busy :-)

costacoffeecup · 15/01/2019 08:43

I think most people who say they have symptoms before they test positive are imagining it. If it's too early for hcg to show on a test it's not going to cause any symptoms.

FairfaxAikman · 15/01/2019 08:46

I was a little tired at the start and did go off food - but that's not unusual for me. My only real symptom was heartburn from 25 weeks (that's when I started throwing up).
The result is now nine months old and asleep in my lap.

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 09:07

@ree348 aw wow hehe, that definitely is enough to keep you busy.

@costacoffeecup yea thats true. i do read so many posts with so many symptoms and no bfp so i guess i can feel nothing and be pregnant maybe, i have started taking herbs that balance hormones so that may be causing me to feel nothing also.

@FairfaxAikman awwwww so cute, thank you for sharing that, what a cute image in my head.

I actually had pre period symptoms, bad pains etc

AnotherOriginalUsername · 15/01/2019 09:15

Besides baby movement and an obvious bump, the only pregnancy "symptom" I had, was my waters breaking!

the99 · 15/01/2019 09:22

I had no pregnancy symptoms at all with DD. In fact, I kept forgetting I was pregnant until she was a big enough bump and strong enough to kick through her anterior placenta!

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 09:22

@AnotherOriginalUsername wooow that was a pretty smooth pregnancy by the sounds of it? thats awesome.

@the99 i love that, thank you. its amazing how hearing others experiences can cheer you up so much, its such a great distraction.

its too early to test but i am going too this morning, i dont have any test but took a sample from fmu earlier so im popping to the shop now, .. ill just buy a test strip back so at least i get 5 test to hopefully take me through to either a bfp or AF so technically wont be a waste of money .. just a little strain on my emotions i guess .. but i cant wait Hmm

The only symptom I got was being in the worst mood ever, I was ready to argue with my own shadow. We were away on holiday at spring bank, I kept on losing my temper & picking arguments all week, I was unsettled & even told my then husband I wanted a divorce. On our last full day we went out for lunch & I started a massive argument over nothing, i walked away from my husband & walked the 2 miles back to our caravan, I knew I hadn't got the keys to get in, I just sat on the step sulking until my husband drove back & gave him both barrels for not getting back quicker, he had been looking for me in town. On the day we came home I just didn't feel right, nothing physical, just my head was a total mess, as we were unpacking the car in a moment of clarity I remembered I had a pregnancy test in a drawer, my period wasn't due until the next day but I got a very dark & very clear BFP.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 15/01/2019 09:38

Yep. I was closely monitored because of my own health so had 2 weekly scans and consultant appointments and on paper it, pregnancy could have been a disaster. I went in to it with "maternal death" on my list of risk factors. In reality I could have still been working up to 20 minutes before he popped out!

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 09:54

@Nat6999 omg that story made me chuckle " i was ready to fight with my own shadow" haha i love that. thank you for sharing that.

@AnotherOriginalUsername jeez thats crazy! im glad it was all ok and in spite of your health concerns you could have still worked up till the last minute, it just goes to show how very individual everyones stories can be. wow

No symptoms with my first, other then a missed period. I was worried when we went to the 12 week scan there would be no baby inside! But there she was bouncing around like a little jumping bean.

qumquat · 15/01/2019 10:27

It's very unlikely to get symptoms in the two week wait. the first symptom is normally the missed period. I started to get a metallic taste in my mouth a day or so after period was due.

allthechipsticks · 15/01/2019 10:39

No symptoms here either I even got my period the only reason I tested was because that was slightly weird (lighter and shorter than usual). Oh and heartburn after 20ish weeks, so much heartburn!

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 11:01

@StarlightintheNight so you felt the same, really felt nothing! i know that we can feel nothing and be right and feel something and be wrong or even feel something and be right and feel nothing but be wrong, .. these stories are so comforting though.

@qumquat yea this whole metallic mouth thing, i find that interesting, i might look in to that just to see why that happens, something half new for me to google haha

@allthechipsticks that must have been such a surprise then, to have what you thought was a period to then get a bfp! such a rollercoaster.

Every time I lost my temper after that my husband handed me a pregnancy test. The day I snapped & finally told him I wanted a divorce, his answer was "no you don't, you are pregnant again" I wasn't, just seeing things clearly for the first time.

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 12:46

@Nat6999 .. I have a theory on this, maybe its silly but you never know. (boring rant below, be warned :)

i felt similar actually with my sons dad in early pregnancy, before finding out i almost left him too funny enough. I reckon if we naturally feel to leave its possibly because we can "sense" that person will not be good to us/the family in some way, .. i think this could be that because naturally our hormones do send a signal to the brain that we are pregnant ... so then our natural instincts to protect our baby must kick in, .. so maybe in this way when we sense danger, we want to get away. obviously this is just my totally uneducated thinking behind why that seems to happen. ... Buut maybe we could even lose our rag at the cutest baby unicorn because of hormones and so its nothing other then that.

OP posts:
Nat6999 · 15/01/2019 13:22

I suffered from horrendous PMT from when I started my periods, by 17 I was on antidepressants to try & keep my mood level. I honestly think it was the changes in hormone levels that made me so bad tempered & have such bad mood swings. Every time I have had anything that has altered my hormone levels my mental health has gone downhill.

Narya · 15/01/2019 13:28

I had no symptoms at all until the third trimester Smile no implantation bleed, nothing. Even after getting a bfp I didn't really believe it until the 12 week scan.

foreverthe2ww · 15/01/2019 14:38

@Nat6999 I bet that can be or has been very difficult to manage at times. Do you find you have to live quite a clean life, with regards to eating clean, drinking just water etc to keep everything balanced?
