About 13dpo. Did a test on sat was negative. Had bleeding starting on friday.

Definitely take a test in the morning I’d say!

I'm really not sure when I ovulated big I'm on CD24 so I'm sure I'm now past ovulation! It's my DH birthday on Sunday so I really want a BFP then! 🤞🏻

I'm all over the place. 7DPO. AF due on Wednesday, I've been feeling crappy all day. Then just now I got a bit of EWCM - frantic googling suggests this is a pregnancy sign. I don't want to get my hopes up. Gah. Anyone else experience anything like this?

@Kay03 Good luck if you decide to take a test tomorrow. If bleeding stopped on Friday, tomorrow could be your BFP! Although if it is negative but no af it is worth testing every other day or so as can take time for hgc levels to build up.

@PaintingOwls I got ewcm last cycle just before af started but I tend to get an increase in cervical mucus before af so not that unusual for me. From what I've read, it's definitely possible although could also be a sign of af gearing up. So annoying that early pregnancy signs and pre-menstrual signs are so similar! Fx that you get a BFP this cycle!

I am with the 'about to ov' girls right now, on third day of 'high' on clearblue digi opk's, loads of ewcm today. If pattern holds, should hit peak tomorrow or Weds and then be able to confirm when looking back on my temp chart. Been dtd eod since end of af including today so feeling positive at this point!

@goldflakepaint what time of day have you been testing your OPKs? I used ICs previously but have got the clear blue ones this month as I didn't have any luck with the ICs. Do you only test once a day? Also so you're waiting for the peak fertile day is that basically O day then?

Morning all! I'm so confused right now. Reading back through all your experiences I guess that anything is possible!

I usually have a 27 day cycle, bang on every time. I have 2 children already and was planning to start trying this month. However, during this cycle we had sex once and he pulled out (him thinking that this would be effective contraception ) and I've still not had my period! I was expecting it on Sunday and have had period cramps since last Thursday. I usually only cramp the day before and on the day and that's it! Still nothing! Have tested about 3 times and all neg. not tested since Sunday though as it feels like period is coming. Every day I'm convinced it's here and nothing! Feeling mild cramps right now!

Only answer is to wait really. Grrrr I wish our bodies would follow the textbook rules, lol!

I'm 39 and dh 42 so time is running out for us, realistically. Didn't start ttc until May/June last year and didn't think it would take long, we gave ourselves a cut off and said we'd stop ttc if not successful by new year but now I'm Thinking of extending it 🤦‍♀️

Both dh and I are equally excited and don't feel that we can give up just yet, I have to admit to being quite annoyed with myself that we didn't start ttc sooner.

Oh @Kaye03 I'm so sorry to hear AF got you. It's so hard to remain positive and I know when I feel like that nothing anyone says makes me feel better and I hate when people say oh it will happen don't worry. I do know that AF hormones don't help the situation either so hopefully you will feel a bit better tomorrow. Sending you virtual hugs.

@Chanel05 not necessarily- I've seen on other threads where girls found out they were pregnant and still had a temp drop! Fingers crossed for you!!

I know it's so disheartening isn't it.
Do you use OPKs or do your BBT?

Yeah it is a bit, the logical part of me says that at my age I shouldn't expect things to happen quickly, but it doesn't stop the urge to see that positive test.

I had all of my other children before I was 30, so I've never experienced trying to conceive as an older prospective parent. Not sure what I was expecting really.

@MrsLBear thanks! Definitely feel like I’m hanging on by a thread to Thisbe bus! A bit of spotting today and feel like I’ve got a burning sensation in my lower abdomen!

@MrsLBear No, not waiting for ov as I know that doesn't optimise chances- we have been dtd every other since AF finished and try to cover both peak days although do not always manage this. I've been using Clear Blue digi opk's for a while, first time using pc's as well to get a clearer sense of when I ov and my cycle in general (have gyno appointment in Jan). I use clearblue once a day with fmu but have been using ic's after work since flashing smiley showed up. They are in sync at the moment and expecting peak/ positive tomorrow probably. Also temping for first time. How are you finding clear blue opk's?

@Kaye03 Sorry to hear about af coming, it is completely understandable to get your hopes up when you experience symptoms and really crappy when you get let down. Look after yourself as best you can

@goldflakepaint that's good so you're covering all your basis. Do you get a smiley face every cycle?
I've only used 2 now (just doing them every day until I know my fw is over as I don't want to miss it as I had zero luck with ICs which worries me that I couldn't find O day or even around it). They are quite easy to use well in comparison with ICs and having to dip the stick 😫
It's funny I get into bed at night and wish the night by so that I can check my temp and opk. It's possessed me.
Fingers crossed the gyno appt sheds some light and reassures you.
