Clomid - no monitoring?

I was prescribed clomid this morning to treat infertility due to PCOS. However I've not been told to go back for any scans or bloods whilst taking it? Just been given 3 months worth and said to go back if I get pregnant or if I finish all cycles and don't get pregnant. Is this right? Reading some other threads and people seem to have scans or tests to check ovulation is occurring? I'm being offered neither

I was prescribed clomid to conceive DD1, I didn’t have any scans or anything during the cycles, just a follow up after a couple of months and a number to call if I had any side effects or symptoms.

I don’t think they do routine scans in most areas of the uk.

There is the risk of ovarian hyper stimulation, but I guess they assume if you had any pain or symptoms or anything that you’d call and they’d then bring you in to check on you.

It worked for us on the third cycle at 100mg. DD is now 1 and we have just started trying for DC#2

I started clomid a few weeks ago, I’m having day 21 progesterone bloods in cycle one and two, then i go back in four months if I’m not pregnant.
I’m not going for any scans or further appointments, which I was kind of expecting!

When I took it, many years ago, I had no bloods or monitoring. I was very lucky that it worked the first month.

Good luck!!

My first cycle on it was more bigoted to make sure I ovulated. I had three scans and then bloods a week after suspected ov. This was a year ago.

I had six cycles of clomid in total. First monitored. It didn't work for me, so we moved to ivf.

Monitored!!! Not more bigoted!!!

Thank you, i have been asked to have 21 day progesterone only, and when i asked for results iam not given any.
Pretty sure first cycle is unsuccesful - on day 37 now with nothing, and having a small battle to get some provera for my next cycle.
Feels never ending.
They have said they have no need for me to be scanned.
