Periods haven’t regulated since coming off the pill 7 months ago

I came off the pill (Yasmin/Lucette) after 12 years, 7 months ago (in March) & didn’t have a period until 5 months later. It lasted a week and wasn’t even really a proper period but lasted for a week. 3 weeks later had another ‘period’, again not proper but lasted a week. It’s now been 5 weeks and nothing. I went to the Dr in June/July & she basically said I’m overweight & went through the possible issues like PCO which scared the life out of me. Anyway, had a phone call with her last month just to update her, and she aggressively said ‘lose weight’! I am overweight but people say I don’t look it! Regardless, it’s made it really difficult to get professional advice as she’s so unapproachable. I came off it to allow my body to regulate before trying to conceive & now I’m back to worrying again, mostly about being inferile since it’s worse case scanario for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Losing weight could actually help and it's a relatively easy thing to do. Even a small amount of extra fat can disrupt cycles because fat store oestrogen and then releases it at the 'wrong' time.

It isn't unhear of for cycles to take a year to become 'your normal.'
