@Ffhh @MrsC87 here's to a positive month and a bit of luck ahead xxx

KinCat · 16/10/2018 01:44

That's lovely Wishful30. What stuff are you crafting?

I've learnt my lesson after last month - no more testing before I miss my period. There lies madness and stress!

I'm lucky I have short cycles so I should be ovulating in a couple of weeks time (unless what I strongly suspect was a CP has thrown everything off).

Ffhh · 16/10/2018 07:55

thanks @wishful30! and you're totally right @mrsc87 - there's a story to everyone and it really is quite a miracle when you think about it!
this time of the month is the worst for me though. I don't know about anyone else, but is pmt a bit more severe since you've been ttc? I'm getting loads better as the months go on, trying to give myself a break etc, but tomorrow's cd1 can't come quick enough as at least then i know its time to get back on it and think positive and start again!

Cycle 10.

Can i join ladies. Hopefully everyone gets a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!

Chinks123 · 16/10/2018 11:06

I would like to join but I don’t know the lingo Blush
I’m 24, we have a 5 year old DD who I fell pregnant with young when we weren’t trying. We have now been trying for a sibling for 9 months with no joy at all. Just got AF yesterday and feeling pretty fed up. I suffer badly with very heavy periods and the pill really helped with them.
Dp is very much “it’ll happen when it happens” but I’m getting impatient now!
Hope everyone gets their good news soon Star

wouldthatbeworse · 16/10/2018 19:32

Those who are not bitter at TTC should turn away now....please allow me to vent as it’s hard to let this out in real life. Received pregnancy announcement of close friend today. She can’t conceived straight away. SOOOOOO jealous. And it’s such an ugly emotion. (Obvs v happy for her, no limit to no of babies, etc)

Rachael321 · 16/10/2018 19:41

@wouldthatbeworse I know that feeling all too well!!

I had a MC in August, due date was the last week in March. A few weeks ago popped up on Facebook that someone i work with is pregnant and due the last week in March and it was an "accident'!! Of course I'm happy for her but it's still so so hard to see and hear everything that I should have been going through just now.

wouldthatbeworse · 16/10/2018 19:56

@Rachael123 thank you. It really helps to not feel alone. Sorry about your MC. I had one in June. Really hurts.

Don’t want to make the November bus a misery bus. Next stop BFP.

wouldthatbeworse · 16/10/2018 19:57

@rachael321. Sorry got it wrong

Wishful30 · 16/10/2018 20:50

@KinCat
I tinker with personalised frames usually. Bit of card making.
I've recently been playing around with paint pouring.
Currently onto making Christmas decs, mostly tree decorations so far, baubles, but also got some bauble shaped mason jars which have turned out quite well.

Anything to keep my mind off baby making!!

KinCat · 17/10/2018 02:14

My period stopped already! I'm very sure I'm not pregnant anymore but I had one pantyliner of brown blood on Monday and one on Tuesday (with a tiny bit of red) and that's it. Surely nothing could have implanted and made HCG if my lining was so thin that my period was just two pantyliners? Or could that be why it failed at just past 3 weeks? I was expecting to wake up to a proper period this morning but so far nothing. I keep going to the loo to see if it's started...

Wishful ah that sounds cool, love the sound of the mason jars. I'm starting to see loads of Christmas stuff around! Feeling very Christmassy! It's a weird time of year for me. I live overseas and it's baking hot so Christmas here always feels a bit ridiculous - didn't even bother with a tree last year and probably won't this year either.

KinCat · 17/10/2018 02:49

I went to the loo (again!) just after posting it and now it's properly started. Hello first proper period in 7 years!

Wishful30 · 17/10/2018 07:19

@KinCat sorry to hear af has got you 😞

I'm pretty adamant a thin uterine lining is at least one of my issues.
I've had IUI twice, and going in for the third time I had a different doc scan me.
Cut a long story short, it should be over 7mm and mine was barely there, and pitted too apparently, so we cancelled it.
Que meltdown as to why I was sent for IUI with a lining of 5.3 the time before!!

Acupuncturist has advised to encourage blood flow to the uterus, leafy greens, eggs, kidney beans and heat therapy (hot water bottle on my tummy)

Also heard that pineapple during and after ovulation increases the bromine levels (I think that's the right word) which helps in implantation.

Crazydreamer · 17/10/2018 08:10

Hi I'd like to join, on my tww now, due af 1st Nov. Here I go again so fingers crossed. And good luck to everyone xx

Chanel05 · 17/10/2018 08:39

Any advice welcomed... dh wanted to go for a more relaxed (dreaded phrase I know) approach this cycle so we’ve been dtd every other day and will continue to do so until fertile window. I’m due to ovulate next Tuesday and he’s decided that we should dtd according to schedule (ahh romance!) Monday and Wednesday. Should we also dtd on Tuesday to cover all bases? He says that NHS website claims every other day is good but I don’t know whether we should try on o day too. I feel as though he will moan at me for “stressing”. I’ve not used opks this cycle as we are trying his way this time, having failed the last three cycles with opks, smep, temping and preseed. What would you do?

I'm also jumping on November bus!

TTC #2
Age:26
7 miscarriages

Going to try conceive in november! I have took pregnacare for 5 days now, stopped drinking alcohol, using almond milk as an alternative to cows milk, making little changes to my diet, DH also taking wellman tablets!

Dear Husband is in Military so may be hard to catch me when I ovulate but all we can do is hope 💕
My ovulation calendar says I will be ovulating on my birthday 17th November and DH will be home then for a week. Hoping for the best. Good luck everyone

Sending baby dust to every single one of you 💕 xxxxxx

wouldthatbeworse · 17/10/2018 12:00

@chanel05 personally I think if you dtd the day before and after ov you should be well covered. It sounds like your dh is really engaged with the process and it may be good to let him have his month “his way” given his suggestion is still to dtd every other. It’s really good that he’s keeping himself informed

@shazzy2013x welcome, sorry to hear about all your MC . You must be very strong

KinCat · 17/10/2018 13:52

I knew it was coming Wishful30 so I was pleased in a way cause it's a new cycle and a new chance but yeah, I was disappointed cause I really hoped that would be my cycle!

That's interesting about blood flow to the uterus to increase lining. Reminded me I was going to look up fertility yoga this cycle. Think that's supposed to increase blood flow.

Chanel05 I think every other day will be fine. Last cycle we only managed the day after O and did conceive (although it didn't stick).

Wishful30 · 17/10/2018 19:52

Upped my fluid intake by drinking lots of herbal tea. Water is so boring!
Force feeding myself small amounts of pineapple to get used to it, so after ovulation I can eat it every day as it helps with implantation. (Apparently)
Had quinoa, quorn and fresh veg with spinach for lunch.
Steamed salmon, broccoli and new potatoes for dinner.
Hot baths to relax.
Heat therapy in my uterus using hot water bottle as recommended by my acupuncturist.
2nd acupuncture due in one week. Ovulation due in 10days.

Other than getting my butt up and finds my time to exercise....

Does anyone have any other tips or old wives tails for me to try in the next few cycles?

AIDE2424 · 17/10/2018 21:10

Jumping on the bus AF arrived today!

Hopping on for cycle 18!
(Age39, trying for number 4, mc in April)

It's already a bit Random! I'm CD13 today I had quite a dark but not positive opk on cd11 but then they've been progressively lighter yesterday and today. Not sure if I've missed the surge?? Its so hard to test around working. We've had sex every day for the last 3 so couldn't have done more.

And, we tried conceive plus for the first time last night. Probably not related to the lube but woke up to spotting!!?!?! It was brown like old period blood mixed with either cm or sperm or the lube (sorry!!!) So maybe I jabbed myself with the applicator or it's ovulation bleeding which I've had a few times since ttc, one of which was the month I got my bfp.

stroan · 17/10/2018 22:54

Can I jump on?

TTC #2
CD 6
Age 34
Cycle 2

Conceived DD far more quickly than we thought possible, so I’m aware I’m probably going to be disappointed that it doesn’t happen so quickly this time. Have very long cycles just now (51 days!) so it feels very drawn out and stressful.

Trying pretty much everything this month (SMEP plus preseed as well as temping and OPKs). Have never had a positive OPK so really have no clue when I ovulate. Ovia and FF both predicting the 11th November, helpfully that’s DDs birthday and we’ll have a house full of guests.

KinCat · 18/10/2018 03:16

Wishful30 I feel like orgasms must boost blood flow to the pelvic area...I'm going to try and get plenty in during the follicular phase.
