@justgivemeasoddingname I’m not sure what OP means, sorry! I’m a newbie here!
It’s not planned if it is a positive result. Far from it! I’m going to get another one first thing and retest. I’m now 6 days late, with pretty regular to the day +/-1 periods. My skin has gone really bad, headaches, bad stomach, back ache, really really tiredness all of the time. These could be symptoms of my period though so who knows! Maybe I’m worrying unnecessarily

I am 99% sure that's an evaporation line/false positive. How many days past ovulation are you? These tests are notorious for them.

@wineandwhine if I’ve worked it out right then 12. I only realised as I’ve been using a period tracking app that I was late. Then my mind went wild 🙈

It could all be wrong though, I’m not entirely sure! Everyday that passes without me updating my period arriving, my expected period date and “fertile window” moves on, so 12 days might be right as my period is 6 days late. Does that make sense?

I'd buy a pink dye test like First Response Early Response. If you get a faint line on that one, fair enough. I've had so many false positives like yours and darker with these tests. FRER has yet to fail me.

Took two different tests this morning. Definitely negative

Give it another 2 days to be sure. I thought mine was a negative and 2 days later still no period and a positive.

@wineandwhine @lorddenning1 really? That photo was just after the 3 minute mark so it’s not an old result. I inverted it and I’m still sure it’s negative. What do you think?

More clearly

First one is absolutely positive. Second may be an indent. That's either one hell of a false positive or you need a tie breaker.

I’ll wait until Monday or Tuesday and if there’s no sign, take another and see what happens. Because it’s not glaringly obvious I’m going with negative, as is my partner. But I don’t know!

I can see a line on the first pink dye test and I think I can see the faintest on the second one.

I think give it a couple more days

I can see a hint of a pink line. Although if you are six days late I would have expected a stronger result considering squinters are usually tests taken before the period is actually due.
