TTC. Came off pill in jan. First cycle 54 days, second 32 and now I'm on CD 38 (awaiting PCOS test results). I did seem to ovulate going by OPKs but I don't temp so can't be sure.

I thought I had missed my fertile window this month as I hadn't got a positive OPK & assumed i had started testing too late (CD 12). Also assumed I would be out this month as we haven't DTD much.

I thought my cycles would get shorter but maybe I'm just not that lucky.

Anyway for the last 2 days I've had the tiniest amount of dark brown spotting only when wiping and a few specs on pantyliner - sorry TMI!

I noticed last night and this morning that my lower back is quite tender. Apart from that no symptoms. Also a lack of PMS symptoms which is strange. I did have a couple of days cramping around two weeks ago to the point I used a hot water bottle. Then last week I was convinced I was about to get AF and she didn't appear.

I've Peed on multiple sticks lol. Not sure if it's a bad batch or not and first time I have used wide grip IC's. Seems to be something but a something I'm not sure about 🤔. Evap maybe? It did show within the time. I did another one too just to check. I think the first one from this morning dried out slightly when I was waiting for the next one etc so probs invalid.

I will grab a FRER after work just to put myself out my misery

Oh and if anything I'm hoping now I've posted this AF will show up 😆

Thanks x

Anyone?

Think there is something there but for 5 days late would possibly expect a darker line. Maybe wait a couple of days and try again?

Rmad6716 · 03/07/2018 14:56

That's what I'm thinking but if I actually ovulated late I might not actually have missed AF yet. So confusing 😣. I've felt like Af is coming constantly all day and I am really bloated. Tiny amount of light brown spotting still. Not a hint of pink. I have never spotted before a period. Really thought I was out so it's giving me an extra ray of hope lol! 🙈

Your cycle this month might be longer, since your first was 54 days. I'd therefore wait till day 45-59, then test again. If still negative, it might be that it takes our bodies a while to normalise things after the pill (my first cycle off the pill was 42 days, second 35 and third 30 - so no clue when to expect AF!)

Hope you are pregnant though! :)

Also, sounds like we came off pill at a similar time and I get extremely light spotting for a couple of days before period.

So could be that. Or implantation bleeding!

Tests can only show a positive 3-5 days after implantation.

Rmad6716 · 03/07/2018 16:03

Yeah. I assumed that if anything my cycles would be getting shorter with last cycle being 32. That's the only reason I'm thinking I'm pregnant. Still crampy and bloated. If AF is coming I hope it hurries up so I can get on to the next cycle!

I bought loads of those tests when TTC, go similar to start with (no positive but something), then took a different test (savers, early test pink dye one) and that was a strong positive.

Took about another week for the cheep tests to show positive (had lots left so kept testing). Don't want to give you false hope, but I certainly wouldn't rule it out.
