TTC problems :(

This is my first post.
We’ve been TTC for 8 months. I know that’s not long but I’m 32 with a history of endometriosis and this is our first time trying. So I went to the GP about a month ago as since coming off the pill my periods have been insanely painful again. I also mentioned about TTC and she looked through my notes. She gave me some forms for bloods test for rubella, cycle days 1-4, 21 and a transvaginal scan as the pain is particularly on the left.
So I’ve had all done. I’m not showing up as immune to rubella, cycle day 21 shows I’m not ovulating and scan showed a 23mm endometrial cyst.
I said to the GP could the ovulation test be wrong as I had a particularly long cycle last month. She said it’s chicken and egg, is it negative because it was taken at the wrong time or are my cycle lengths all over the place because I’m not ovulating....
So where do we go from here....
I’ve got to have the rubella vaccine and a chlamydia test (110% that’ll be negative so not worried about that) and GP will ring hubby tomorrow re getting his swimmers tested. Once all that’s done she’ll refer us to the fertility clinic.
As an aside, some years ago, maybe 6 or so for some reason, I really don’t know why as we weren’t TTC and I was under gynae just for painful periods, I had an AMH level checked and it was very low. Add that to the mix and I’m feeling very low and negative.
Anyone had anything similar and had a success??
Thanks for reading. Sorry it’s long! X

Hey @squirrelnutkins1 - hope all is well with you and fingers crossed for this to be your time Grin Just wanted to update you with what's going on with me. Results came back as positive for T18 today, so that's that now. I have decided to continue with the pregnancy though - my little girl is so full of life on the scans. I would not be able to cut that short - she will go when she is ready. Good news is that it doesnt appear to be hereditary - just extremely bad luck. 1 in 5000 babies are born with this every year - who knew that in all our years of trying and IVF that we would be that 1. So I am going to enjoy the pregnancy for as long as I can with my special little daughter and will deal with the rest when it comes. I truly hope everything goes well for you - you really deserve to have a family of your own and I can see it happening for you one day - we just gotta keep the faith for as long as we are comfortable doing so xx lots of well wishes your way xx

Hi hun. I'm so very sorry ☹️ your positivity is overwhelming. I really mean that. What strength of character you have 💪🏻
Have you named your special little girl? I would make the same decision as you and wait it out. You must've been filled with love seeing her wriggle around in there 💕

I'm gutted this is happening to you but pleased it's not genetic. That can give you a measure of hope.

Thank you for the well wishes. I'm in the tww so we'll see.

I wish I could magic this all away for you but, in time you'll see what you've learnt from the experience. I've definitely become more compassionate and empathetic so that's can only be a good thing. It still hurts like hell but there will come a time that the pain is more manageable.

I'm always here to chat xxx

Hope you don't mind if I PM you some time to see how you're getting on?

Lots of love and prayers for you and your OH XXX @DontCareBear

I had my contraceptive implant taken out in the Middle of Feb and still not sign of a period.Been doing ovulation tests aswell and no positives so far😞Should I be worried?

DontCareBear · 17/07/2019 22:11

@squirrelnutkins1 no problem at all. Happy to chat and provide updates. Thanks for your thoughts at this time too. X

Hi @Han2709 - i dont have any experience with the implant sorry but I know that when i came off the pill after being on it for 5 years, it took a whole year before my periods came back as regularly as they could be (im polycystic so have always been irregular). I also didnt realise that I ovulated much later than the standard day 14 so wasted so many OPKs testing too early and getting negative results. I finally realised that for me, I generally got a positive result when testing after CD18. But everyone is different and you need to get to know your cycle before you can choose the best time to start testing. Hope that helps x
