Hey everyone,
I'm out for June so on CD1 and expecting AF to turn up around July 7th. Here's hoping for a lucky bus! 🍀 🚌

@TheMagicTorch I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok?

@HidCat Thank you. I'm as ok as I can be. Upset, in a bit of pain but not losing hope.
I feel a bit like I've let people down by testing early and getting their hopes up (my mother in law and DP especially) but I'm not losing hope for the future.

Ksjourney · 20/06/2018 14:52

Oh so sorry @TheMagicTorch we're all here for you this month!!!

My AF is due on the 14th so we can not test together (though I did just order 15 dip test off amazon 🤦‍♀️)

Anyday88 · 20/06/2018 15:33

So I am in my fertile window now 😊😊 I had a 26 day cycle last month which totally threw me so my fertile window is starting a bit earlier and lasting longer this month so I don't miss it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am normally 28 days like clockwork but seems to be a little all over the place since my mc in April.

Fingers crossed for everyone that July is our month!
Af should be due anytime from the 6th July it is our 3rd wedding anniversary on 4th so would be so lovely!

I'm not buying tests yet as last month I got threw so many!

Ksjourney · 20/06/2018 15:56

Well Anyday I got through 4 expensive ones last month. So I've decided if I can not control myself (which obviously I can't) then I am spending 3.75 on 15 cheap dippers and I can test away - and when I get a BFN or faint line 🤞 I can rationalise the tests are cheap and rubbish anyway and I can not believe anything they say really.....

TheMagicTorch · 20/06/2018 16:22

@Ksjourney thank you so much!
Oh no 🤦‍♀️ it's just too easy with online shopping isn't it. I ordered 2 lots of 2 x FRER and Clear blue digitals on amazon. It's scary when you don't see the cash leaving your hand as well.
I only have 2 internet cheapies and 1 clear blue digital in the house now so I might get DP to hide them.

Baby dust @anyday88 🤞 for this month for you

Ksjourney · 20/06/2018 16:48

Haha @TheMagicTorch great plan. I've promised myself I can go out and buy a nice expensive shiny test if my period is late... I can't have it in the house it's too tempting.

Angelmiracle · 20/06/2018 17:35

@TheMagicTorch I'm so sorry you had to go through that!

I'm due to test around 17th also and will not test until I'm due or late after last month's saga. Famous last words though.

Are the One Step opks good or not?

fizzytonicplease · 20/06/2018 19:39

I'm hopping on, im new to these boards, i am 36 ttc Number #2 , took over two years to conceive DS.
After deciding two months ago to start trying my periods decided to go crazy to a 44 cycle and im normally 30, started taking vitamin (as is DH) supplements and period seems to have settled back down. Only finished AF 3days ago, so hoping this month is our month as my OPK from amazon have arrived. Scared and excited for the journey

HidCat · 20/06/2018 21:05

@fizzytonicplease welcome to the bus and good luck! Hopefully this will be a shorter TTC journey for you than last time.

Spottyyellowdress · 20/06/2018 21:32

@fizzytonicplease welcome and good luck!

@TheMagicTorch so sorry to hear that - in the same situation last month so 🤞 this is the one for us!

Just on a sidenote, can I just mention how much I HATE the bloody clear blue digital advert. As if anyone ttc would sit there not looking at a test. And as if she’s waited that long to test it comes up on a digital straight away rather than squinting at imaginary lines at the window at 7dpo. Ridiculous.

NoseringGirl · 20/06/2018 23:49

Hoping over from the June bus as just started spotting so I'm out for the month after getting my hopes up. I should've known it wouldn't happen for me that quickly!
TTC#3 and I have PCOS. Only cycle 2 now.

I hate that advert too @Spottyyellowdress everyone knows you have to pee on at least 5 ICs and 2 FRERs before you even think about cracking out the digital!

Seahawk80 · 21/06/2018 06:49

Hi everyone. I'm coming up to FW but been really struggling to do SMEP, I'm so tired and have just decided to take the pressure off as it's only month 1! Managed to DTD Friday and last night and FW starts on 24th so not a bad start.

@LivingOnAPear I never get a positive opk- have given up on them! The only strong positive I ever got was when I was pregnant! I don't tell DH it's the right time, I'm sure he guesses but I just find it goes better if we don't discuss it. I remember once getting really cross when he was too hungover to "finish", in the end I conceived that month so I'm trying to be more chilled this time around Grin

fizzytonicplease · 21/06/2018 07:16

@Seahawk80 i remember getting really upset with DH as he got drunk just after i had a positive OPK and was then very hungover the following day, we still DTD but i kept thinking due to alchole etc..it would be no good! We conceived that month too, so im also trying to be abit more chilled about it. I haven't bought any pregnancy tests as i know its too tempting having them at home.

HidCat · 21/06/2018 07:28

@Seahawk80 and @Spottyyellowdress my last pregnancy was like that too. OH not hungover but not interested, we DTD once and I thought it was too early in cycle so wrote the month off but got bfp. Seems it likes to happen when people least expect it lol. Just starting the TWW now, will try not to drive myself crazy.

Seahawk80 · 21/06/2018 08:15

@HidCat @fizzytonicplease it is so true that the month you do everything doesn't work and when you least expect it and write the month off you get a bfp. I was a prolific early tester, bfns for months on end and then was being investigated for pcos and mid referral to the infertility clinic I had a scan to check ovaries etc. It was after ovulation and I just assumed if I was pregnant they would see something (actually was really hoping that would happen!) I wrote the month off and as my cycles are so random didn't think anything of being late. It was only when I thought my boobs are so sore and that's not usually a pms symptom for me that I thought I should test!

However this time around as much as I'm trying to chill out I'll be symptom spotting and poas early like everyone else! Just can't help it!

NoseringGirl · 21/06/2018 08:27

I agree with that @Seahawk80
We had a month where we weren't going to try because we wanted to avoid a Christmas baby (we'd been trying for 15 months before that) and that was the month DS2 was conceived.
DS1 was a much more concentrated, clomid based effort though!

Seahawk80 · 21/06/2018 08:59

Just wanted to say my last post did come across a bit "relax and it will happen" didn't mean that at all, we were (semi) religiously following SMEP and using clear blue opks even though they are useless with pcos! I meant more it does happen when you least expect it.

According to clue I have until 12th July until AF due - I'll need help to sit on my hands til then!

TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 09:14

I've taken a bit of the opposite approach this month - I've bought some OPKs for the first time and Pre-seed 🤭 Mainly because I'm not sure how the early miscarriage (really don't like the term 'chemical') will affect my cycle and we want to keep trying straight away.

HidCat · 21/06/2018 09:18

@TheMagicTorch I agree about it not being a nice term. It makes it sound like nothing was fertilised and it's just your body being crazy which isn't the case. Hope you're ok.

OP posts:
TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 09:49

@HidCat - Yep totally agree. I'm feeling much better today thank you - DP and our parents have been so supportive.

WaitingforDaffodils · 21/06/2018 10:42

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss @TheMagicTorch I can't even imagine how upsetting that is - wishing you the best of things for this month's POAS and a BFP.

I'm due the 13th of July but will be in Georgia then and, in theory, travelling about their very dangerous mountain roads by minibus! So I'm going to take a FRER as soon as possible so I can amend my travel plans if need be...might be being overly cautious but at least I'll know if I can drink the good wine etc too!

This is our first 'proper' month ttc and we're using preseed, SMEP, Clearblue Digital Monitor, fertility yoga and doing the usual dietary stuff...this morning my DH called me a baby making machine lovingly i think Grin

TheMagicTorch · 21/06/2018 11:04

@WaitingforDaffodils thank you ❤️
It's heartbreaking after being so ecstatic over our BFP.
Fingers crossed for this month.
On another note, I'd never heard of SMEP .. now I've googled it and thinking that might be on the agenda this month 🤭

zoClueless · 21/06/2018 11:05

MagicTorch , HidCat totally agree about the CP term. I had an early loss (5-6 weeks) at end of April and at the time just shrugged it off as a CP (was expecting it as the lines were so faint in the test and just got fainter and I was heading into a weekend away which would have been extremely awkward to explain avoiding drinking) but the last few weeks I've been thinking about it a lot and have reframed it in my mind to account for the loss that it was.

Trouble is now DH thinks I'm absolutely fine about it all and has taken the lead from that!

WaitingforDaffodils · 21/06/2018 11:26

@themagictorch - I read the SMEP success page and got over-excited...seems to make sense though...just have those swimmers always waiting around for the right moment! Let me know how you get on (this is my first month too) Smile

@zoClueless it sounds like a really healthy thing to process the loss properly and acknowledge it. I'm so sorry Flowers
