One Step bad batch?

Just in case anyone has bought the pack of 25 from Amazon recently, I'd advise caution. I've attached a picture which shows what I mean.

The bottom test is from the pack of 25. The one above is a One Step, slightly thicker, that came with my FRER. All done with same urine.

I had been getting such faint lines on the One Steps from the bulk pack was panicking I was having a CP. But I think there's something up with this batch of tests. I'm going to email Amazon about it too as I wonder if they are a fake batch or something. Just a PSA if anyone is using these and worrying about faint lines or non-progression.

I have some left over from a batch that is about 1 year older than the ones OP and others are having an issue with. It gave me a clear BFP in May last year... Do you think they can still be relied on? They're within their 'use by' date.

I had a bfp with my old ones in September (early miscarriage) but they ran out so ordered these new ones. Maybe I’ll just give testing a rest for a bit...

I found the thick one steps great last time.
This time I had thin ones (free with frer) and they’ve been really rubbish, barely showing a line even when frer darker than control!
