Sorry to add a bit of a me, me, me thread. I’m new here, that’s my excuse Wink

Last month I had an earlier than expected period by about 4 or 5 days (have been on the implant for 6 years before I got it removed in December, a few months after it ‘ran out’) but I’ve been using the Glow App and given that if my cycles are regulating to something similar to last month, I’d have ovulated around the 4th of May (didn’t opk as we were away on a little anniversary holiday. And this was going to be a less obsessive month... worked out well, obviously) but my app is still saying that I will have ovulated on the 9th May.

I tested on the 8th and 9th and got two strong positives, we’ve dtd every other day except for these two days where we got busy on both days but this is when I ran out of OPKs so not sure if the positives would have carried on. I’ve read that they can detect pregnancy sometimes but even given that I could have ovulated on the 4th, could those positives be too early to be picking up the pregnancy hormones?

Anyway, my boobs are sore, I’ve been dry retching all morning, Friday night I had faint period like cramps and my back has been in agony since Tuesday. If I blow my nose it bleeds and on Thursday I spent the day at my desk holding back tears for absolutely no reason. This morning I also had some creamy discharge in my pants (sorry for the overshare) when I went to pee, never usually have anything in my pants until the dreaded blob comes. But these symptoms seem a bit early if I did ovulate on the 9th but not so much on the 4th?

Pregnancy tests scare the life out of me, I can’t handle rejection apparently haha! I’ve got one sitting in my drawer but I don’t want to waste it, because if I’m going off symptoms and google, I’ve been pregnant for the last few months.

So, following on from the ramble above, when should I test because I don’t really know when to expect AF. Should I follow my symptoms or my app? Ohhhh the mindf*ckery of trying to conceive.

Hi ladies. Hope you don't mind. @Hotdamndiggitydam congratulations! Which pregnancy test did you use first time round? how exciting. Have you been trying for a while? X

Hotdamndiggitydam · 23/05/2018 19:25

Hi Delilah. Thank you! I started with the one step internet cheapies. Started 8dpo (I think) and did a Morrison’s cheapie this morning and the clear blue digital this evening (should be 14 dpo but also 2-3 weeks so not sure on that one)

We started not not trying in around May last year, my implant ran out early May but didn’t have it taken out until Dec, it took months to get to the removal appointment at my doctors. We avoided my fertile window jan - march as I’d started a new job then actively tried since. So kind of on and off for a year, but I’m convinced my implant didn’t stop working when it was ready for removal.

@Hotdamndiggitydam thanks lovely. :) I'm literally just started out. Very nervous. Took a pregnancy test as I have and so many symptoms and doc said to but said was a high chance of negative which is was as I'm only 7dpo! X

Hotdamndiggitydam · 23/05/2018 20:02

Ohh good luck! I’ve had months where I thought maybe I am but this one was I was ‘knew’ straight off the bat. I still had a few doubting moments but my first test was negative and I just threw it in the bin and carried on because knew it was lying to me, then it came gradually. It’s actually the first month I dare take a pregnancy test since I got a negative last August 😂. So 100% listen to your body, if you’re feeling it there’s a good chance. Fingers crossed for you!
