OPK, cm and ovulation help

I have short cycles of 25 days. Was on the pill until December but my cycle seems to have settled now.

First month I'm using OPKs. I'm cd8 today and read that I should start today. Barely there line, to be expected I think as I think my luteal phase is 11-12 days (guessing as not done temp or used OPK before)

But, I have ovulation cramps, had ewcm this morning and just been to the toilet and now have stretchy / watery cm (stretched about 1.5cm)

I'm going to start temping tomorrow (thermometer only arrived today). But what's going on? Am I gearing up to ovulate in the next couple of days or not?

I use ovia and it's predicting fertile week is next Monday but I feel like it's going to be sooner than that. Might explain why I've not had a sniff of a line these last few months! Help!

Yea hopefully either tomorrow or Thursday, latest ive ovulated has been CD17 so time yet I suppose! It was last night, wasn't too sure about it though, I think it was maybe the lady im trying someone different next week and see if that makes my mind up x

That's great news :) good for you to see a pattern developing too.
I'm OK, trying not to symptom spot (not doing so well at that!) got an intense metallic taste yesterday and today but am only 5dpo. Temp has dipped slightly the last 2 days but nowhere near cover line so feel OK about that. Flo app is saying to test on Wednesday but am not due til Friday so will wait until then (well that's the plan!) x

Its soo hard not too, I tell myself every month I wont and try to convince myself its only AF symptoms but I still find myself sitting googling every symptom lol. Yes if you can wait until you miss AF and test I think that would help, fingers crossed for you x

Hi @Tinker315b sorry I didn't see your message. I'm OK, these last few days are dragging am only 9dpo. My Temps are still up but Google tells me that means nothing! How are you getting on? X

Stupidly tested at 10dpo today and of course it was negative. Am grumpy with myself for not just waiting. How are you?

Sorry if it has been said but stretchy CM doesn't automatically mean fertile CM. When assessing CM you want to concentrate more on how slippery it is. The very slippery stuff, that feels like raw egg white when you rub it between your fingers, is the very fertile CM and what you are looking for. You CAN get stretchy CM at any time, I've had a bit this AM but I am definitely not fertile at this point in my cycle (about to start period).

Crap, sorry I really should have RTFT before posting. I was distracted by my toddler!

Just seeing this @VenusStarr Im 6dpo and just feeling the same as always! Try not to get my hopes up as the disappointment each month is just horrible, at the doctors tomorrow to get a few sets of bloods done so hopefully I can find out what's going on! 10 dpo is still too early for a positive so don't give up hope yet. x

That's OK @Changedmaname good to have other input. I'm still getting to grips with everything. Who'd have thought making a baby would be so hard?!

Hi @Tinker315b fingers crossed for your bloods, how long do they take to come back? I don't know what possessed me to do the test this morning but am going to hold out now til Saturday (if af hasn't already come by then) x

Hey @Tinker315b really pleased you had a better experience this time. How often sill you have it? I'm OK, temperature has dropped so not feeling that hopeful now, no sign of af and still very bloated. Going to wait til after the weekend, am due Friday / Saturday and if af arrives I'll book in for an acupuncture consultation x

@VenusStarr Im going to try aim for every other week! Oh no, im 9dpo today and had a big temp rise yesterday morning out of the blue but then this morning it has went back down again to the day before so im quite confused as to why I had that spike. Im not sick or anything and it was taken in the exact same way as always, never had a temp that high before. But yesterday and today ive been having a few mild cramps so im expecting af as predicted on Saturday . I'm sorry about the temp drop hopefully its not AF for you x

@Tinker315b I'm not sure what temperature spikes mean. I hope the cramps are a positive sign for you. Regular reflexology sounds good too. I've just called and booked an acupuncture consultation for next Friday morning, there's a specialist clinic about 15 minutes from my work x

Got my fingers crossed for you @Tinker315b. I've started light bleeding now :( so my cycles are between 23-25 days but at least I know I'm ovulating and that my luteal phase is average. Yes, keep me updated. I'll let you know how next week goes too :) x
