EllieG · 13/06/2007 20:37

Littlesoldiersmum - is my first proper month of trying too - first PG (had MC in March) was total accident and we weren't really trying last month. Though tbh DP is pointedly ignoring the fact we're trying now, I think he prefers things that aren't planned!

EllieG · 13/06/2007 20:39

Boo hiss indeed spugs. Don't you kinda long for the innocent ol' days where you thought it was sooo easy to get PG?

spugs · 13/06/2007 20:52

As a teenager i thought if you even did 'it' the once that was it you were doomed. oh well heres to next month. I can see your dhs point, i hate ttc find it stressful and become obsessed . much simpler to have an accident, more of a shock but definitly easier

EllieG · 13/06/2007 20:56

Yes I think it might be sensible. What he's doing is 'accidentally' forgetting contraception and then going 'oh dear let's hope that wasn't the wrong time of the month eh' even though he knows I calculate it to the tiniest degree and know exactly when to start BDing. But he likes it that way and saves all those 'But can we really afford it and is it sensible?' conversations.

spugs · 13/06/2007 21:34

that sadly fails, ive been walking round telling people were not ttc and telling myself there would be no way i was pg in the hope that because thats what ive done the other 3 times (actually thinking i wsnt though)it would mean that i would be!! confused? my drinking lots of wine theory has also failed oh well will have to try twice as hard this month. ramble ramble

yummybunnymummy · 13/06/2007 21:44

I feel really down, bfn this afternoon, I feel really pregnant, dh is sure I am, I'm really emotional and keep crying but no bfp, I can't remember when I tested with ds1 and ds2, having looked at all my calenders I usually have a 34 day cycle and am now on cd40 with no af. How reliable are home tests? I read somewhere that on the day af is due they really only detect about 16 % of pregnancies and that you should wait at least a week after....however I feel like I've turned into a mad testing woman..
and now I'm worried that I'm not pregnant and must be in the thro of a horrible female disease, my dh is insisting that this type of melodrama is really confirming pregancy emotion...but..well..I don't know.

It is great to be able to chat to you all, its not something I could talk about with all my mum friends here at the moment, ifykwim...xxx

spugs · 13/06/2007 21:52

Give it a couple more days and test again, you may have ovulated later then you think you have, hope you get your bfp.

MrsNutkin · 13/06/2007 22:04

Yeah spugs leave it another 2-3 days then try again. Have known lots of people that get bfns first few days after af late.

It's so hard not to test though becomes addictive!!

MrsNutkin · 13/06/2007 22:05

Whoops meant yummymummybunny

yummybunnymummy · 13/06/2007 22:07

hmmm...I know your right and that everyone produces hormones at different levels but feel so up and down, am I aren't I? (am crying again)..
