I’m sorry, but is this a faint line?

Can anyone see a line? I can, then I can’t. Due period about 2 days ago, but it’s not unusual for it to be erratic.

I think you should phone early pregnancy unit & ask for advice, possible ectopic pregnancy.

goodyzoe · 02/02/2018 02:39

Good idea - phone early pregnancy unit direct if possible.

NoseringGirl · 02/02/2018 08:23

I was sent to A&E in my first pregnancy because of pains like that even though I wasn't bleeding. They still wanted to make sure it wasn't ectopic (was all fine in the end). Definitely get checked out.

Nomorecakes · 02/02/2018 09:41

This mornings test is a complete stark negative. I done know what to do. Surely a morning urine would be the most positive.
Also do FRERS have Evap lines?

False negatives are common.

False positives are rare.

Nomorecakes · 02/02/2018 18:20

I spoke to a midwife from the early pregnancy unit today who said I have most likely had a chemical pregnancy. To do another test and if it’s not positive after 3 minutes then don’t look at it again. Tests are no good after this time.
Still having pain.
There’s a place locally that does scans privately. It’s £90 but I think it could be an option so I know one way or the other as this is messing with my head majorly. I just need to know if I am or not, and if I am is there something wrong.

Meant to say the twinges I’m having today are like what I had in my previous pregnancies. The midwife said that it’s most likely that it’s just my period normalising again.

The GP said because the test she did there was neg then she was confirming it as negative. So it was just that pretty obvious one last night that’s making me think otherwise again. I don’t the home test 10 mins before appointment which was pos straight away as well. And I thought what are the chances of having quite a few now that have more obvious lines?

Peanutty86 · 02/02/2018 21:27

I wouldn't book a scan yet. It's very likely that you will not see anything, even if you're pregnant.

NoseringGirl · 04/02/2018 21:22

How are you getting on @Nomorecakes?

Nomorecakes · 04/02/2018 22:40

A FRER two days ago. And a completely negative Sainsbury’s this morning within three minutes. Only having a line when I glanced it later.
My pain has greatly reduced and I have been taking the antibiotics for two days. I just feel like it’s all over for me and it’s been a chemical with the HCG just taking its time leaving my system. I don’t FEEL pregnant now. 😢
Thanks for asking NoseringGirl

That frer is positive.

Nomorecakes · 04/02/2018 22:49

I think it is positive but if I was pregnant I would be having consistently strong tests by now. I’m now waiting for another AF to arrive later this month. If it doesn’t then I will book a private scan. The midwife told me not to read any tests after 3 minutes as all tests start to turn positive after this time.

I'm so sorry you're going through this with the uncertainty OP.
Have you got some support in RL?

Nomorecakes · 04/02/2018 22:58

I would normally share everything with DH in real life but for some reason I just don’t feel like I can talk to him about this. I don’t know why. He would think I’m crazy if he seen all these pregnancy tests.
I have been talking to my SIL who I am close with and she is 6 months pregnant now and understands as she struggled to conceive for two years.

lauryloo · 04/02/2018 23:01

That frer looks positive. Can you ask your gp to test your blood?

ObiJuanKenobi · 04/02/2018 23:03

Aww I get that OP I used to test in secret when we were TTC and spent a fortune and never told DP.
We had a babybond scan and we found the company really good, understanding and discrete. I'd recommend them if you do end up having a private scan.

NoseringGirl · 05/02/2018 08:36

I'm so sorry you still haven't got a proper answer. I have to disagree with that midwife though. Whilst generally a test shouldn't be read after about 10 mins, they definitely don't all start to turn positive. I've done way too many tests in my time and spent more time than that looking at a blank test for any sign of a second line. I've only seen them like that when I've been pregnant. You might get an evap after a while but not a line with colour in it.
