Is this weird early ovulation after MC or some other kind of post MC weirdness?

Had an early MC (7 weeks) last month. All physical signs indicated ovulation about 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding, although I never actually got a positive on my Clearblue digital OPK. When I looked at the stick (yes I know you're not supposed to do this) I thought it looked a bit nearly-positive around the same time, but who knows whether I missed the surge or just didn't quite ovulate. Either way, AF turned up 12 days later - which is my usual LP. Little bit heavier/crampier than usual but otherwise normal.

I'm now on CD7 - only really stopped spotting yesterday. And I appear to have a load of EWCM and some weirdly ovulatory cramping. My normal O day is about CD16. Never before CD14. Will probably do a OPK tomorrow but in the meantime - WTF is going on?! Anybody else have this?

Never had a mc however can relate to weird cycle this month....longer at for about 7 days then same ewcm but the watery and only just got positive opk cd14 so either ovulated early or goodness knows what's happening! Keep doing opks though hun and fx for rainbow baby x

Hi Mrs Moggies, I've been reading these boards for a while now but literally just joined to be able to speak with you. You are describing my EXACT situation almost to the day and I haven't found anyone similar out there so far... Until now! I had MC at almost 11weeks on 8th Nov. Bled for almost 2 weeks, did OPKs never got a positive and then had normalish AF exactly 4 weeks after MC started. That took me to beginning of Dec. I then started OPKs but again never got a positive. My AF that month came after just 24 days but was very very light. Almost non existent! Beginning of Jan started OK again and what I think could be CD6 (although was hard to tell with such a light AF!) I got a strong OPK with IC, another strong on CD7 with IC and a First Response ovulation test and ANOTHER very strong first response on CD8, while IC was negative. I am now on CD19, theoretically 11dpo, lots of BFNs and now started spotting since CD16. What is going on!?!?!? Did I weirdly ovulate early? Is this AF? Is this actually the real first one and the light one was fake? So confused. Wish this spotting would either turn into something proper or just go away. I started spotting not even two weeks after I finished last (SUPPOSED) AF!!

Sophie It’s SO annoying, as if a MC isn’t enough to mess with your head and all you want to do (in my case at least) is get knocked up again. From my looking around on the internet it looks like some people do seem to ovulate early after an anovulatory cycle, so my best guess would be that you didn’t lay an egg last month (thus the light AF) and did so a bit early this month. No idea about the spotting though. Your MC was relatively late on so I guess it might take a while for the hormones to settle. Hope you return to some normality (or a BFP!) soon.

My ovary twinges seem to have settled down and no more EWCM (although a bit more ‘fertile looking’ than I would normally expect at this point) and negative OPKs so I guess I’ll just keep pissing on sticks and see what happens...

My early mc (about 5 weeks) messed up my cycle completely - v late ovulation for the 2 cycles I've had after that, resulting in 40 day cycles when normally they're more like 31 (of course some of this may be the pcos).

Just keep peeing on the sticks! I'd given up hope of ovulation then bam suddenly there was a positive, and this morning a potential faint positive pregnancy test so don't give up hope! Our damn bodies. For something that's supposed to be 'natural' it can be bloody hard!!

Just in case anyone comes across this thread and wonders... finally got a positive opk this evening - day 17. I’ve pissed on about £20 worth of sticks and had started doing them twice a day as I didn’t want to miss it. Plus now have twinges on the OTHER ovary, so who knows. Anyway. Poor DH probably thought the hard work was done this month...
