I’ve been recommended to get a fertility monitor but they’re quite expensive and I wondered what people’s experiences of them were. Are they worth it? And can anyone offer me any success stories with them please? Thank you

I’ve only used it for one cycle so far and I have just come off the pill so it is probs my hormones but I had about 15 days of high fertility and no peak. I’ve now bought the cheapest sticks and I’m going to use them more but use the clearblue when it looks like I’m near ovulation on the cheaper sticks. I’m sure other people will have had more success with them!

Hi

I have the old Clearblue monitor. Got it when they first came out. Have got pregnant 3 times using it (2 x mc Sad). I find it very easy to use and always picks up my peak days. I confirm ov by temping. The sticks are fairly expensive but you can buy them cheaper online (Amazon or EBay). You can also pick up the monitors fairly cheap on EBay - the advanced one usually goes for around £30 second hand.

I would say they are worth having. Good luck x

I used it and got pregnant with dc1 the first month I used it! I got mine off eBay :)

Thank you everyone. I came off the pill in July and have had 4 periods since now which are regular. The problem I have is that my oh is in the army so ttc at what I think is my fertile time isn’t always possible if he’s not home.
I’ll have a look on eBay for a second hand one x
