Vivid Dreams

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had 'vivid dreams'? I hear they are a preggo symptom. I've been having lots of scary dreams recently.

In other news, as a pcos sufferer I have been recently taking the correct dose of metformin, 2 tablets a day, previously I thought I was supposed to be taking one and also inofolic.

I am on day 26 of on average a 32 day cycle but I feel like my period is imminent. I wonder if the meds are doing their thing!!!

Confused xxx

Yes but I have had them my whole life. I actually find it really hard to understand how people can have non-vivid dreams. I do get them occasionally but the vast majority of my dreams (the ones I remember at least) are very vivid to the point t that I often wake up convinced that they were real (even when they are impossible). I didn't notice any increase during pregnancy.

Mine we're all the time and had my nan in she came back to me. I would talk to her and kiss her and then I'd wake up and was heartbroken. I was devastated my nan never met my kids I think this is why.

Dreams generally are associated with rapid eye movement ‘REM’ sleep - which is the stage between waking and deep sleep. Sort of semi-sleep.

Most people naturally cycle between R.E.M. and deep sleep, but if your dreams are particularly vivid or long, you might not be getting enough deep sleep
