Same @PabloEscobarlo I can kind of see something in the second pic but I've heard they're not as reliable as the link dyes

@Fia256 I really feel you today I'm still on the fence this month I know I won't know till I test but I'm so sad about taking one too early. I've got a friend's baby shower this week yaay! My symptoms have eased now so not sure what that means. I'm 9-10dpo x

Somethininthewater · 30/10/2017 07:13

Yes, IC every bloody day! At what stage do I admit defeat and say ‘I’m out’?!

Rememberallball · 30/10/2017 07:25

Morning ladies from Cyprus. We are 5 days pre egg collection from our donor and go to the clinic tomorrow for scan and appointment with our consultant. All being well on Saturday we will have ET either Tuesday or Thursday next week!!

Somethininthewater · 30/10/2017 08:57

What in God’s name is this?!

November Bus
Fia256 · 30/10/2017 09:35

That looks like a definite bfp @Somethininthewater how exciting! Maybe get a frer or digital to confirm?!

Fia256 · 30/10/2017 09:47

Thanks @Owlpatrol. Spotting has pretty much stopped now. I have read though that you won’t get a bfp until 3-4 days after implantation, so until af shows I’ll cling on to that hope!

Did you say your going to test tomorrow?

Bubblegum89 · 30/10/2017 09:49

Hi ladies, how is everyone? Finished my pathetic excuse for a period now so back at it again on cycle 12. I’m genuinely considering giving it another 6 months and then giving up. I don’t think I want to do this for much longer now.

Malapropist · 30/10/2017 10:20

Hello all!
remember that’s so exciting!! Fingers crossed all goes well for you! How are you feeling?

Something - that looks like a BFP I reckon. Get a CB digital and do that tomorrow to be sure!!!

Fia and owl sounds like you are in with good chances for tomorrow being the day to get a BFP! Fingers crossed! It definitely takes a few days after implantation for a BFP to show up!

pablo I think I might be able to see something too but but but, those blue ones are famous for evaps etc so maybe try with a FRER tomorrow?

bubble sorry to hear AF showed up. It can be so disheartening can’t it! But do remember it can take up to a year and that’s completely normal. I know that feels like an eternity when you are in it!

It’s funny, I was thinking this morning that I am counting down the days to AF to find out if I’m pregnant this month even though I’m almost certainly not and I hate my AF as it’s v uncomfortable and I feel really weird and down when it comes along. Not just disappointed but like hormonally depressed. I should be enjoying the 2WW as time I can relax and not worry about getting pregnant or having AF! Instead I wish it away!

Only 5DPO here and time is dragging. Found this really interesting website that shows you the chance of getting a BFP per DPO if you ARE pregnant! It’s fascinating!

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=7

PabloEscobarlo · 30/10/2017 10:25

I’ll grab some
Pink ones, I had what dp bought so will tell him

Malapropist · 30/10/2017 10:29

Also, a question ladies - are any of you reducing caffeine or alcohol in the 2ww? I drink gallons of tea and usually one coffee per day but wondering if I should cut down. Had an early start this morning with DD also I am shattered!!

Have generally abstained from alcohol but did have a glass of wine a couple of days ago as it was a special occasion!

Bubblegum89 · 30/10/2017 10:32

Thanks malapropist I just can’t imagine doing this for another year lol I think I will give it until next summer and if I still have no luck, I’m going to throw in the towel. I can’t cope with disappointment anymore! Plus I already have a 9 year old from a previous relationship so wouldn’t get any NHS IVF help and I can’t afford to do it myself. I think being this far along in the process has made me realise that actually, maybe it’s just it going to happen for us and it’s kind of disheartening :(

heavenforbid · 30/10/2017 10:46

I agree somethin looks like a faint positive to me- fingers crossed!

Good luck those of you testing this week too, especially you Fia. I've only started posting on here recently but been lurking for ages and seen you on a few different threads. Really sorry to hear about your losses - will be keeping fingers crossed for you!

I joined the November bus when I thought AF had showed up on CD24, which wouldn't have been unusual as my cycles are literally all over the place since coming off the pill in March, but then it was just 4 days of brown spotting, so naturally I thought implantation and got my hopes up but since then ... nothing!! 5 BFNs and it's now CD37.

Just want my bloody period (no pun intended Wink) to show up so we can crack on!

Did anyone else come off the pill after ~10years and struggle with cycle lengths? I was always like clockwork before I went on it but last few cycles have been 54, 46, 16, 17, 41 and now at least 37. Meh.

Malapropist · 30/10/2017 10:47

pablo - Superdrug are doing 3 for 2 on their own brand tests which are pink and reputed to be really good!

I really feel for you bumble - it’s just horrible whennit isn’t happening and everyone around you seems to suddenly have a baby!! I waited 13 months for a BFP last time I TTC so I understand the frustration! FlowersCakeBrew

Somethininthewater · 30/10/2017 10:49

Did another cheapo one straight after and got this. Boy it’s a squinter!

heavenforbid · 30/10/2017 10:51

Sorry - cross posted - sorry to hear that bubblegum - fingers crossed something will happen in the next few months! I don't know how the NHS funding works but does your partner have any children and does that affect whether you can get any treatment?

malpropist I haven't been - I only drink tea and checked the recommended caffeine allowance and 4 cups of tea is fine, but I probably should be reducing/cutting alcohol. I didn't want to put my life on hold/give the game away that we're trying so I have been drinking but from next cycle I might try to avoid it in the tww. If nothing else it means a bottle glass of wine can be a nice celebration of a rubbish day when AF turns up!

Owlpatrol · 30/10/2017 11:10

Hi gals ill reply properly at lunch however literally no symptoms today.. however someone said my skin looks amazing...
Watch this space. Yep testing tomorrow eeek!!

Fia256 · 30/10/2017 11:10

Ah thankyou @heavenforbid that’s lovely of you.

Unfortunately spotting has picked up a bit more now, so I think AF is definitely on its way a few days early. Bit gutted but I’m just thankful it won’t arrive a few days late on what should be my due date!

As it’s on it’s way early, I will still be able to stay on this thread and maybe get a bfp at the end of the month insteadSmile

Rememberallball · 30/10/2017 11:25

Hi Malapropist,

I am feeling excited and nervous in equal measure!! We went out of the hotel up to local shops this morning and I was pushing my mum’s wheelchair, she was telling me how, after embryo transfer, I won’t be able to do it for a while and that I’ll have to take things easy!!

PabloEscobarlo · 30/10/2017 11:31

Thank you @Malapropist

Rememberallball · 30/10/2017 11:33

The question about caffeine & alcohol. The clinic in Cyprus asked I abstein from regular drinking for the cycle before my treatment so I stopped drinking in September though I have had a few Becks Blue non alcoholic beers. This week, I’ve had a couple of mouthfuls of my husband’s beer but stuck to it pretty well. We only have decaf tea at home but have caffeinated coffee which I usually have 1-2/day at home. I’ve not really changed that habit too much as it’s not a lot in the long run however, if we have coffee put, I do ask for decaf as it’s so strong

MatthewAndBumpsMummy · 30/10/2017 12:58

Hey, hope it's ok if I join.
I'm not quite sure when af is due as cycle has been dead on 28 days for as long as I can remember then last month was 32 days! So af could arrive any day from the 6th to 9th. But of course hoping it doesn't arrive at all :-) hoping you all get bfps this month.

Age 31
Ds 12 & 8
Cycle #1

Merrz · 30/10/2017 14:54

Bubblegum89 It's hard going isn't it, af showed up yesterday for me, 2 days late giving me false hope Angry I'm on to cycle 5 of actively trying now, which i know compared to a lot of people isn't long at all but it feels like forever and i'm just starting to feel like it's never going to happen for me.

heavenforbid I also came off the pill in March after over 10 years, initially i didn't have a period for almost 2 months but my cycle
lengths gradually came down to 30 days and stayed at that for 3 cycles but up to 32 days this month.
I really wish i knew the impacts the pill had on your cycles before and came off it sooner.

81Josie · 30/10/2017 15:12

Merz if its any consolation I went to visit a friend and her new baby this weekend. I always got the impression that it happened very quickly for her but it turns out they had been trying for a while and had even had fertility tests.

I think its a lot harder for most people than we realise. For some reason we just don't talk about trying to conceive. I admit even when she told me that I couldn't bring myself to tell her we were trying!

heavenforbid · 30/10/2017 15:47

@Merzz I completely agree - it actually makes me a bit angry when I think about it that the pill is so freely prescribed and encouraged for young girls with no real discussion of what happens when you want to come off it. I went on it when I was 16 because I had acne, and fair enough it did wonders for my skin but I also think it caused havoc with my mental health as I feel so much better now for being off it!
And not once in all the years I went back for it did anybody mention that it might take a year to get normal periods back after coming off. It was totally my choice to go on it and stay on it, but I do wish there would be more discussion about it before you start.

Merrz · 30/10/2017 16:10

81Josie Nice, although not nice to see a familiar name, lets hope this is our month. I think you're right, people don't talk about it but would probably be surprising how long most people take to conceive. I'm the same, haven't told anyone we're trying, not sure why it's such a big secret, I think it would just be too much pressure if people knew and it wasn't happening.

heavenforbid Totally, it's actually really bad of the NHS, I've also been on the pill since I was 16 for similar reason and I've gone back yearly since then, had a 5 min consultation with a nurse who's never really informed me of anything about the long term effects of the pill or questioned if/when i should stop taking it.
