Anyone who's had a chemical pregnancy

Feeling pretty down right now. Got my bfp 48 hours ago, done a few between then and now (serial tester) and it's becoming apparent this is going to be a shitty horrible chemical pregnancy.

A super faint line that won't show on a picture just now on a frer and a stark white bfn on a super drug test. Both done this evening

What I'm wanting to know is for anyone who's had this, how long after you started getting bfns did you finally start to bleed. I know there's no hope now and I just wish it would start 😞😞😞

Oh bless your heart. It may not be a chemical; it may just be that your urine is too diluted in the evenings for the test to pick up enough hcg. Try again tomorrow with your first wee of the day, you may have a better result.

To answer your question, I got a BFP on the Thursday morning, negatives Friday and Saturday, started bleeding Sunday evening. It was just like a normal period, in fact it was a bit lighter than usual.

Fingers crossed for you. This is an awful limbo to be in and my heart goes out to you. Flowers

Thankyou for your reply xx

So sorry you've been through it too. I feel so upset as I just know it's going to be what will happen and don't want to get my hopes up. Last year I had a chemical at 5 weeks, followed by miscarriage at 7 weeks a few months later. Took a break, had a late mac in June this year at 16 weeks and now two months later, looks like another chemical. Don't know how much more of this I can take 😞

Fia, have you started any investigations yet? Sounds like it could be an idea to see your GP about it.

doleritedinosaur · 30/08/2017 18:29

Have you seen your GP yet to start tests as reading further posts seems that's a good place to start.

I had 2 chemicals & a MC before having my DS last March.
My GP did basic testing to rule out thyroid & other issues.

I did have a one month's break between the MC & conceiving DS.

It was 2-3 days after testing positive to start bleeding.

It is really hard, just go easy on yourself.

No not yet @JoJoSM2 was offered it all after loosing our little boy 2 months ago but I was that distraught with the whole process as it was that I said I didn't want anything as wanted it all to just be over and done with.

Going to ring the drs tomorrow in the hope of getting in, however that's so much easier said than done at our gp. Was meant to be having a phone consultation on Monday to arrange an early scan but may aswell just try and get in with them tomorrow instead.

Hate this feeling in limbo at the minute! Feel like when am I ever going to get a break x

It must be a really really horrible feeling Flowers I also know what you mean about GP being difficult to get hold of. We ended up changing GPs to get things moving. Good luck!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/08/2017 06:21

@Fia256 how are you this morning? Have you tested with FMU?

Fia256 · 31/08/2017 06:50

I'm ok actually @TheGrumpySquirrel thankyou for asking Flowers

My little girls first day of school today so I'm just going to try and focus on that. I feel much calmer now, I think I've accepted if it's going to happen there's not much I can do to stop it.
Will attempt to ring the drs at 8am and hopefully will get in and get some bloods taken. But if I don't I'm not going to stress, will try again tomorrow.

I'm now out of tests, all I have is one digi left. So as difficult as it will be not to test, I'm going to wait it out a few days. If no bleeding starts then I'll do another test with a first response with fmu! I just know I can't take another faint bfp.

I'm really glad I've got the distraction of today with my daughter otherwise I don't think I'd be this calm

So today my bleeding finally started! I had a bit of spotting last night, and I think I got all my emotions out then. I feel utter relief today to finally be out of limbo. New month new start, I just hope that's our run of bad luck over now. Thanks everyone for your advice xx
