I totally get that @Bugsbubby I've had backache for 2 days now and just want it to start so I can safely take some pain killers to get rid of it a glass of wine would go down nicely too Wink

Hehe! My husband doesn't want me getting my hopes up so the odd glass of wine has become my way of saying 'see I'm not getting my hopes up' without actually having that conversation! That sounds terrible but each time I'm thinking 'this is it' I must just be so irrational I immediately stop everything that I wouldn't be able to do and every invite or event is analysed with 'but if I'm pregnant'.... after a year of ifs it's certainly becoming annoying!

HappyCrazyTired · 16/08/2017 21:27

Haha the things we do!! I've totally given up caffeine and I'm a coffee addict. "Just in case" still have the odd glass of wine but like you only at certain times of the month, same with the pain killers.. before o fine after o I just have to deal with it again "just in case" been 14 months for me x

Yeah I'm not big on caffeine so quite lucky and just trying to avoid alcohol completely between us trying and af... I live in Edinburgh though and with the festival on just now that's tough, if I say to friends I'm not drinking I get the look or just the smart comments about being pregnant, which is like a kick in the face! If anyone has any covering up not drinking tricks I'm all ears!

HappyCrazyTired · 17/08/2017 07:02

Can't help there,I've not been a drinker for years, the hangovers stopped being work it so I just quit.i have the occasional one to be sociable & tbh that draws more attention than me not drinking.
Could you order something that looks like what you usually drink and ask the bartender discreetly to put it in a wine glass? Or maybe say you've got to drive somewhere early in the morning so you're just going to have the one? Failing that use the old on antibiotics so not allowed to drink excuse x

I'm not a drinker at all so can't help with the booze excuses either. I haven't cut out caffeine, but probably only have 2-3 cups of tea a day and some herbal ones at work. When I'm having a bad day I will go to Starbucks though! I should probably get better at this Sad

HappyCrazyTired · 17/08/2017 08:12

Well I gave in and tested (you lot are such a bad influence) and it was a bfn so I'm out this month. Wish it would just hurry up and start now I'm fed up of feeling rubbish! In the plus side I can take some pain killers for my backache today x

Sorry to hear that HappyCrazy, some Wine too perhaps?!

My body is being weird. Had cloudy type discharge for a few days and it's been brown today. 8dpo and not due AF for another 6 days. Better not come on this early else I'll start panicking about a short luteal phase..!

HappyCrazyTired · 17/08/2017 23:36

Could it be implantation bleeding?

I've never had it myself but it's a possibility x

No af again today Confused

I don't know, supposedly IB is really rare but I see it mentioned s lot on here, bit sceptical.

Your body is being super mean! They do say you're never out until AF shows up... x

HappyCrazyTired · 18/08/2017 07:26

Haha I agree very mean,I go on holiday in a week and it was going to be the first holiday in years where af wasn't going to be here when we left or start when we're away. I'm sure it's waiting on purpose 😂

I saw 30% of pregnancy has IB and says here is just drops but a friend of mine had it, when changing pills didn't realise she was pregnant and carried on another month before getting a real surprise!

Cd23 anyone?
Florence16 · 18/08/2017 08:30

That sounds typical HappyTired! We are on hol end of Sept and I strongly suspect my cycles will be off kilter enough to mean I'm on for that.

Oh that's interesting Bugs, I see so many is this IB threads and it seems to be relatively uncommon hence why I'm banking on this being AF early and starting differently. Still got it today (CD26) and should come on around CD30. Normally I start spotting but it's very red and then gets heavier, so I expect my body is just being a nuisance especially with the kidney infection I've had. I'll probably rely on that as for the reason for variation this month.

Bugsbubby · 18/08/2017 08:55

yes it will take time to settle into a proper routine, was it the pill that you were taking before trying? I do think that it has muddled me up for starting and that I have got off onto a really bad start. My cycles are so long and have really no idea of where I am or when to expect anything, hopefully the opks will help this month...

Florence16 · 19/08/2017 11:18

Yes it was the pill. I've come off it twice before and not had insane cycles. Been back on it about 2.5 years before coming off this time. Last time I was on cycles of 27-32 days and my first one off it this time was 30 days and currently on CD27 and no AF yet. I did POAS earlier and get BFN though!! I told myself I'd be out this month with the kidney infection and have felt pretty rubbishy, but still Sad

I'm tempted to sack off OPKs etc and just go for every other day for as long as we can past approximate O window. Can feel myself getting a bit obsessive. And I'm getting twitchy about work and whether I should in fact sit tight and go for a promotion over TTC...I am definitely hormonal and exceptionally moany/whingy/grumpy today!!

How are you ladies getting on?
