Male fertility, citalopram and olanzapine

TTC #1 at present, stopped contraception 15 months ago, though have only had 5 cycles of really trying. DH has been on citalopram and olanzapine for a number of years. The olanzapine causes some erectile problems and things have definately been more difficult since he had the dose increased 12 months ago. I'd not really considered the citalopram until I read something the other day which said that it could cause problems with sperm motility. Just wondering if anyone has any success stories. His psychiatric meds are a delicate balancing act and the idea of him reducing/stopping them whilst we ttc realistically would be a bad one.

Hi pinkdonkey, I asked a similar question a few weeks ago, some of the answers may be helpful to you --

Not started TTC just yet so I'm afraid I can't report...

Thank you, It could just be one of those things, but I'm fast approaching 35 and scared that we could be wasting time if we find his meds are preventing us and we do need to do something about it. Its encoraging to see some sucess stories.
