Superdrug early evap or faint pos?! 3 in a row

Hi there,

Can anyone help? Two days ago I took a super drugs early detection test as I've just been feeling a bit off... emotional, tired and just different. Within the time limit I could see a line. I opened it up so I could see it better. I than ran two Superdrug's and did two more and all with the similar line although as the day went on it got a little fainter.

I've done some cheap Poundland tests that have pretty much been negative or a squint at the light type of thing which just frustrate me. I also did a FRET but completely BPN.

I'm off to buy some more Superdrug ones tonight and am currently holding my pee so fingers crossed. Also, these tests were taken 7 days before period due and today is 4/5 days before period due.

Oh also, the tests in the picture below I actually put some water on after to see if the lines would dissapear indicating evap line but they didn't...

Any help? Please be honest!

Xxx

I can see lines especially on the third!

sonita123 · 13/07/2017 13:28

I can see the lines but I don't know if they are evaps. Three in a row...
The third test was the one I did with FMU and the other two later during the day.

Has anyone else had this with super drug early tests? Either way I'm going to follow this post all the way through so I will keep updating!

I had a corker of a pink line on a Superdrug test. It started faint, so I bought more just like you. 3 in a row, all bfp.
So I did a frer and it was bfn.
My period started the next day.
I don't think it was a chemical, I think Superdrug tests are just really unreliable. There's been a few posts on here saying as much. I hope this is your Bfp x

DiamondShine · 13/07/2017 13:53

I would recommend using a first response test

sonita123 · 13/07/2017 13:55

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I've read mixed reviews of these. I did however have spotting for a day a few days ago. It was literally a tiny amount twice when I wiped - possible implantation but I don't know my periods can be very irregular. I just want to do another test now but I have to wait until I've finished work. Fingers crossed.

I would trust the FRER over anything else tbh. There's not really anything more sensitive than a FRER so if you're getting clear negatives on that I don't think you're pregnant.

Ahhh ☹️ Your probably right. Will send a picture from tonight's test. Three Superdrug Evaps in one day...I must be unlucky.

Don't buy superdrug tests!!!

sonita123 · 13/07/2017 18:24

Why not? Have you had bad experiences with them?

Yes, they show false positives.... I was definitely never pregnant!! So many ladies on here have had this too.

LimpLettice · 14/07/2017 07:15

Hi OP. I took a Superdrug on Monday which gave me what I thought was an evap / false positive, especially as it was followed by a bfn on a cheapie and an ASDA. Except that a cheapie yesterday was positive, and this morning bfp turned up on a frer.

Web is full of terrible reviews on these but I do wonder sometimes if they are just too sensitive and pick things up so early they often disappear again. Anyway, fingers crossed if you test again 🤞🏻

Hi Limplettuce,

Oh wow congrats to you!!! I did a couple more super cheap tests last night (test for 20miu whereas Superdrug's is 10miu) ... I couldn't help but think I had very very faint second lines. In fact, I wasn't sure what I was seeing so got frustrated and threw them away so that I didn't get upset.

I will see if I have any pictures. Maybe it's worth running to Superdrug's and getting another early detection. IF I'm pregnant it should definitely show on there by now surely!

Thanks xxx

Okay so here are the picture I took of yesterday evenings tests before I stupidly threw them out. I really couldn't decide whether I was seeing things or not. Both of these tests for 20miu whereas the Superdrug's earlies are 10miu. Are they very faint pos (possibly false or Chem) or am I just going crazy?

Maybe it's worth going to grab the super sensitive 10miu test today?

Help please I'm going crazy Xx

One of those does look vaguely like a line. Get a frer, honestly. I find the cheapies really hard to read. Fingers crossed for you 😊

Hotpinkangel19 · 14/07/2017 16:38

There's something there! Give it a couple more days and test again! X

DiamondShine · 14/07/2017 17:15

There is an app that changes the colour of pregnancy test strip photos to detect any faint lines

Use FRER, Superdrug tests give a lot of false positives
