Question about ewcm and ttc after coming off pill (a bit long and tmi)

I came off the pill on June 9th, DH and I have been dtd with intent since Saturday (July 2nd). I haven't had a bleed since coming off the pill.

Earlier today I had something resembling ewcm but I can't be sure it really was ewcm (iyswim). There was a small about of red-brown something as well.

No idea what to make of that - could be AF starting obviously, I've no idea if I've ovulated since coming off the pill so maybe I'm about to? Or is there a small chance it could be implantation? This is my first time ttc so I'm pretty clueless all round really and I don't know what I'm looking for. Did a couple of OPKs last week and they all looked almost positive but not quite.

It literally could be anything. It's always advisable to have a cycle before TTC when coming off the pill so they can date the pregnancy properly. I would take a test in a week and then again every week until you either have a positive test or a period. Good luck!!! X

I'm in the same sort of boat! It's frustrating isn't it? You don't want to get your hopes up but can't help notice new changes and think is it withdrawal or pregnancy symptoms?!

Peachy that's exactly it! Every little twinge has me wondering if there's something going on in there (doesn't help that I have ibs and every little cramp makes me jittery)

Yep that's the same as me too! I've got six days until AF is due so I'm ignoring that little box in the bathroom until then 🤞x

I'm in a very similar position! I came off the pill at the end of May and was convinced I was pregnant for weeks until 10th June and AF showed up! I've been getting all pregnancy symptoms e.g. Feeling sicky and tired, lower stomach and back pain and in the last week my breasts seem to have gotten bigger and my nipples are really sore! (Tmi sorry!) I've no idea of my cycle length or anything since coming off the pill but tomorrow will be 28 days so I'm going to do a first responce! So scared it will be negative though! Let me know how you get on!

We know our bodies well don't we but we don't realise until TTC! Normally so busy trying NOT to that when you start it seems like a long waiting game straight away. Will do 🤞 for your BFP! x

BFN unfortunately today, just going to see what happens but I'm having lower stomach and back ache like AF is going to come! If nothing in a week I will re test but I highly doubt a first responce 6 days early one will be wrong? X

It still could be I wouldn't rule it out if I were you! Wait until AF is due and retest if she's a no show. Fingers crossed but keep us updated! X

It's so hard to stay calm when I'm so excited to be ttc there's been nothing since the tiny little bit of spotting, so I'm going to assume we're not officially out this month until AF actually makes an appearance.

I keep desperately trying to think of something I can do, as if anything might help. Like eating certain foods or dtd in certain positions. But so much of this process is beyond our control which is really annoying.

AF was due yesterday (or so I think because I have no idea on cycle length since coming off the pill) but my stomach and back have been in pain all weekend and my boobs have gone crazy big, so I'm going to test again if no af by next weekend! X

Hoping we all get our BFPs soon - the 'spotting' happened again today, exactly the same as before, just the tiniest little spot when wiping. I realise it may take a few cycles to get a BFP, especially as I was on the pill, but it's hard not to get my hopes up

It's really difficult isn't it! Still not had my period yet but my boobs are absolutely massive and I can't even stand my OH to touch them! This did happen last time I was due AF so I'm not getting my hopes up to much, but surely that first responce 6 days early test won't be accurate if I don't come on this week as my period wouldn't have been due? I'm confused!

I didnt really take my pill (Progesterone only) properly at all last in few weeks of may. I had on/ off spotting for a week then AF came 1/6/17 theb officially stopped it 🙈. Hope you get a AF soon and start cycling regualry. X

It's doing my head in now because fair enough if I'm not pregnant I understand but I don't know what to do or how long to leave it, I've gone up easily two bra sizes they are massive and my breasts, especially my nipples, are so sore! I've had stomach pain and back pain for the last couple of days. Even if my periods are irregular if me and my partner have been DTD every other day minimum surely there is still a chance I could be pregnant? Because the test can't have been accurate on Saturday when my periods still obviously not due?

User1497 I guess a certain number of days after conception, if you were pregnant there would be enough hormone for it to show up on the test regardless of whether AF was intending to show up or not. But I'm not an expert, maybe someone else will be able to give you a more concrete answer re the accuracy of tests

Ah thank you anyway I do appricate you taking the time to reply! Problem is I don't know when or if I ovulated as I didn't track! It's all a night mare, I'm in two mins whether to test again Saturday or to wait as I'm going away next week so will be out of my mind a bit more and see if AF comes....I'd be worried about drinking though

Fingers crossed they come up soon! I've seen so many threads where people have practically given up after AF due and still BFNs- but then they've had BFPs days later 🤞AF due for me tomorrow. Had a BFN Sunday but still hopeful. Boobs still both sore and feel bigger with veins, feeling full when I eat something and sick on and off, full of wind constant peeing and ridiculously I'm sure I have way more saliva constantly! If these are all new AF symptoms every month I'll be gutted 🤣 had cramping bad last night and a bit today so it could just be she'll be on time tomorrow. Fingers crossed wishing you all luck! 😊🤞

User I'd wait as long as you can hold it as getting the BFN was so disappointing and knowing it could be wrong and too early only adds to your worries! You're not there yet I don't think it's completely unreasonable to have a drink whilst you're in limbo x

Ah good luck peachy! I think our body's are so cruel if like you say it's just AF symptoms but all the symptoms your saying would surly be pregnancy symptoms? I'm really hoping for your BFP! Yeah I'm going to leave off until i really have to test again because as you say it's dead disappointing when you see that one line isn't it! My boobs are so sore and big still and I still have loads of CM (tmi sorry) so I'm just seeing how I go with it, fed up of waiting already and only been trying for two months haha!

Could it be? Omg omg I'm freaking out! Did a test this morning on the off chance because I (was going to be) drinking next week on holiday and put it down while I brushed my teeth and looked again and I was like no way?!? I tested Saturday same first responce test and it was BFN!!!

BFN this morning, but no AF yet so I guess I'm not out until it shows up. Still very disappointing though as I've been uncontrollably symptom spotting and I'd started to feel very optimistic I stared at the test for 10 minutes trying to convince myself it was the faintest of squinters but no. Testing again Wednesday

So sorry to hear Ijustgothitbyadeer but don't give up hope! I got a BFN last Saturday and I was so dissapointed and had every symptom! Tested again Friday with FR positive and today with clear blue digital and positive so don't give up, sending you loads of luck and baby dust!
