TTC after ectopic

Hello.
Not been on mumsnet for a little while but I'm currently recovering from surgery following an ectopic pregnancy.
Wondered if there was anyone else TTC after ectopic?

Happy for those pregnant or who have a little one after ectopic to come and say hello too x

KItty, I didn't start sobbing until after the surgery when I realised that we were back to being not pregnant. The scan was completely surreal for me, too.

Stee, our consultant told me we would need to wait 3 months after methotrexate because it can harm a future pregnancy. It works by stopping the growth of cells so would be toxic to an embryo.

MrsBee, glad you are getting itchy. I had that a week or so later as well. Really can't imagine how the c-section mums do it! I was a bloated and achy mess after my keyhole!

Flowers and better luck for all.

So sorry to hear you're going through it Stee. Hope you're doing ok.

I didn't have to have the injection but when they were talking me through options they said it was def 3 months wait after those as they can be harmful to future pregnancy in that time.

Congrats again Winter! (I posted on your other thread)

I'm still plodding. Had a dream last night I was pregnant again and it was another ectopic. Heading into another fertile week. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Congratulations! Hcg down to 21 last week so tomorrow's bloods should be non pregnant levels such a relief I can finally get back to normal and get ready for my holiday next week. Hope everyone is ok x

@flashinthepan I have had a few dreams about ectopic including the hysterical crying I had when I woke up after a nap at home. It scary how much these things haunt us 😞

Flashinthepan · 12/07/2017 22:52

loose glad it's not just me although obviously wish you hadn't gone through it if you see what I mean. It sounds really dramatic but sometimes it feels a bit like PTSD. I've developed really bad anxiety and panic attacks since it happened. I've mostly got it under control now but often wonder if I should see someone.

Loosemoose28 · 13/07/2017 00:01

Flash PM me if you need to offload.

I guess ita normal to a degree. I know the day I see a BFP I will be freakin out. I get some many pains due Ectopic history/ anxiety or the endometrosis.

I think until I get that BFP and knowledge its stuck in my womb rather than my tube the anxiety will remain. Its hard. And I don't think there is a simple solution to make it go away.
