Feeling really fed up at the moment, Feels like we've been ttc forever (18mths) I have been told I have PCOS,and the doctor announced "it is highly unlikely you'll ever get pregnant" So wondered if anyone out there has any possitive PG with PCOS stories for me.

I was told at the age of 15 i had pcos, and i would never be able to have children.
In 1996 me&dh went through fertility test, which showed the pcos, but this consultant told me i would probably need clomid to help me concieve. I went away with the perscription, and it sat on my table for a few months. Just beofre my next appt to see the consultant i started having dizzy spells, falling asleep at work, and had a passion for dough nuts. one of the boys i worked with said your pregnant! but i replied"how can i be"? i thought something was seriously wrong with me so tested...and it was positive! didnt believe it so bought another, still didnt believe it i bought 14 pg tests in total!!
i now have 3 children and am ttc no4 so good luck to everyone xx

My sister's got PCOS and had tried for years with her previous boyfriend - then last New Year meets new man.. and surprise! She's due in April. Wonderful news as she tried everything, unsuccessfully, inc. Clomid and Metformin. So she'd assumed it would never happen for her. Not suggesting you ditch your partner, though . Actually, think it probably had something to do with losing a lot of weight - I know how hard that is with PCOS where your body is trying to make you put on weight, but it seems to have helped my sister.
Fingers crossed you'll be lucky too.

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 26 at which time both ovaries were the size of tennis balls! I was told concieving naturally was unlikely. So I went to the GP who gave me a form for a blood test. I came off the pill and had that period, then I waited for another before I had the blood test but I was already pregnant. The shock of our lives but living proof that it does work sometimes. (Dh's previous partner got pregnant while on the pill - stong sperm...?)
