Confused- lots of symptoms but BFN

I really don't know what's going on. I've got extremely sore boobs (gone up a cup size in a week), strange cramps, backache and indigestion. Apart from that I've got a gut instinct that I'm pregnant but I've done several pg tests and all were negative. I don't know if af is late as I'm on CD34 but my cycles are always irregular. Surely if I had all these symptoms I'm producing enough hormone to show up on a pg test??!!

I've tried a few different brands including First Repsonse but all BFN!!

ANy thoughts or advice much appreciated.

All the signs you've had could also mean that unfortunately AF is coming. I would desist from retesting as seeing repeated negatives can become very disheartening.

If your cycles are always irregular I would get this checked out further by your GP regardless of how long you have been ttc.

Hormonal imbalances can be the root cause of irregular cycles. They are also problematic because a person with irregular cycles is less likely to ovulate regularly if at all.

If you do get a blood test done you need to ensure that the GP compares your LH (luteinising hormone) against that of your FSH (follicle stimulation hormone). If your LH level is higher than your FSH then this is one possible indicator of a hormonal problem called polycystic ovaries.

You need a diagnosis first and foremost though and I would go all out to seek one.

Thanks for info. Cycles have always been irregular and have got pg twice (both from one 'incident')but had mc second time so I'm pretty sure there aren't any probs. THe only time I have had these symptoms was when I was pg with dd almost 4 years ago- normally get sore boobs etc before af but not normally this severe or prolonged. I also know when I ovulate so can time evrythign fairly well. Maybe it is just wishful thinking though! If af or BFP don't arrive over wkend I will speak to GP- cycles can vary from 30 days to 40 days but not normally any more or less, usually around 35 days.

Has anybody had all these symptoms and then got a BFP? Or af? Can you be utterly convinced you're pg then fin dout you're not?

Unfortunately you sound like me for the last 6 months....AF always comes.
BUt don't give up hope - you are not me!!

I got all these symptoms and didnt get bfp until I was a week late so you might be. Unfortunatley I didnt stay pg for long I had an ectopic pg.
I would test again like you said after the weekend I spent a fortune on pg tests I must have done about 6! I have got all my finger crossed for you. keep us informed.

I have an irregular cycles like you my cycle can be anywhere from 28days to 45 days.

I am now pg for the 3rd time

1st time was about 8 weeks when i got a BFP

2nd time was about 7 weeks when i got a bfp this ended in a m/c at about 9 weeks.

3rd time not sure how pg i am will find out tomorrow i am any from 14weeks.

Thanks for the responses. Will just have to wait and see what happens. First month of serious TTC so odds arae against me really! Now I just need to try and stop doing pg tests

I'm even more confused now. Just did ANOTHER pg test as af still not arrived and I got a very faint line. WTF does that mean? Past 2 BFP tests were very strong lines!

what tests did you use? and at what time of day?

I don't know what make the test was, got it on EBay but it's one of the Early Detection ones. I did it about an hour ago but didn't really need to go, had to squeeze a bit out but had a fixation on testing there and then!
MEant that last 2 BFPs from previous pregnancies were strong lines!

it could be that the hormone isnt strong enough i would test again tomorrow morning with a clearblue digital, they worked for me on the day before my period was due.Good luck
