I've got a stomach bug at the minute but feeling constantly nauseous. Dh and I are trying so thought I'd test just in case. Is this positive or a false positive due to a faulty test as the horizontal line shouldn't be there although it's now faded a few minutes on.

The line came up before 3 mins

Congratulation, it's definitely a line. Why does it mean you can't move?

We won't be able to afford to Flogging not for a longer while than we hoped anyway, will have to save up for maternity leave instead!

Congratulations Whizz! Why can you not move? We had an offer accepted on a house and found out I was pregnant a few days later. I see it as a nice exciting new start!

Your not 5 and a half weeks pregnant. Had my last period on the 18th of June and I'm 4+3 days. Your coming up to 4 weeks this Saturday

I'm confused with my dates here. I don't think I can be that early on in my pregnancy. I last had sex on the 6th July. I surely wouldn't get a positive less than 2 weeks from the date I had sex?

I've always had positives from 10 DPO. It's days past ovulation that matter, not days since you had sex (though if you're confident that you know your cycle it can be the same thing).

But...that's a very strong line. Are you sure your last period wasn't implantation bleeding? Or maybe it's twins!!

Oh, congratulations, by the way!

Report
WhizzPopper · 19/07/2016 19:05

Oh fuck don't say twins! Last period happened just over 2 weeks since the one before finished (can you tell I've been scrutinising my period tracker app!) I will write my dates out here;

1st June - 1st date of period 1, it finished on the 7th June.
Sex - 9th June and 16th June
25th June - 1st date of period 2, finished on the 30th June
Sex - 6th July.
19th July - pretty strong positive!

I'm not sure what to think, I guess only a dating scan will tell. That second period was light for 2 days, heavy for 2 days and light for one so I don't think implantation but if it was a miscarriage would I still be showing a positive now? I didn't have any severe cramping or anything like that.

Will be phoning the doctors to make a midwife app tomorrow.

Implantation bleeds can be surprisingly heavy. And I doubt you'd have a strong positive so long after a miscarriage (if you'd had one, though the disclaimer is that I've never, thankfully, had a miscarriage).

Can you get a Clear Blue digi? At least you'd have a vague clue how far OMG you are (they're not entirely accurate, but accurate enough for your purposes!).

I do think it's too strong a line for 4 weeks' pregnant. Unless it's twins! 😀 My money is on 7 weeks' pregnant.

OMG clearly a typo...it's along! But amusingly accurate!

WhizzPopper · 19/07/2016 19:38

Thanks Horace, I will see if I can get dh to get me a digital. I'm not entirely sure the second period was a period being so close to my last one finishing but with only having my implant out in April I wasn't sure what to expect.

Seems like a positive to me, congrats! My lines were fainter and I'm 8 weeks pregnant Smile

Sorry didn't mean to confuse you whizz popper. I just realised what I thought was a mistake. This is my test the next day of my period. :) get a clear blue it will confirm it for you. I was 4+1 when taking the test :)

Congratulations! I don't think your lines are too dark for your dates at all. These are mine, FRER was 15dpo and the others 17dpo. And I think the tesco and the IC I used were less sensitive than the Asda one you've got there! So I'd expect you maybe ovulated pretty much on the day you DTD and therefore your tests are around 13 DPO so what I'd expect lines wise!

Sorry if I've misunderstood any of your dates etc though!

Okie dokie so we think I'm 3 weeks? That seems so early to find out and especially how sick I'm feeling! Hopefully dh won't forget the clear blue later. Won't bother phoning the midwife yet then as its still really early.

Very early for a line that dark AND to get a second line even when you didn't wait in between! Try a CB digital tomorrow morning and see what that comes up with!

I've had implantation bleeds that were actually heavier and lasted longer than my normal periods.

That looks like a positive test to me, congratulations!

Really roomba? I really feel like I should be 7 weekish, I feel far too poorly to be just pregnant. God it was so much easier first time round!
