Old Wives Tales - ways to predict GIRL or BOY (Just a bit of fun)

What are the old wives tales surrounding gender of unborn baby. Is it sweet things for a girl and craving savoury for a boy? Are there any other funny ones and did they work for you?

Lots of suggestions here I heard the ring thing was the other way around and it worked for DS (swinging from side to side) Don't think any of the other points really applied. The chinese chart I always thought had worked for me too but now I look again I think it didn't. It claims quite high accuracy though.

Did a number of the online Chinese predictors. ALL said boy. ALL were wrong! It's a 50/50 chance though isn't it?

I was told by many women that i was haaving a boy and it was, just conincedence but quite weird.They all said apparently if your bump is very prominent bump and you don't put on alot of weight on your hips,thighs or bottom, then its a boy and if you put on alot of weight equally all over your body then its a girl!

Sounds like a load of tosh to me! I put more weight on with 1st PG and it was a BOY, opposite was true with 2nd PG. I think I was more aware of not getting so dumpy the 2nd time around... not really eating for 2...cant really excuse lots of chocolate...
I think perhaps if you suffer badly with morning sickness you are more likely to have a boy- something to do with hormones...
