I know that this can happen, but has it actually happened to anyone? Or anyone you know?

I may have slipped up on the rules of where to aim the semen BlushGrinBlush So if they can swim like hell.... They stand a fighting chance. But what are the chances of that happening really Hmm

If you have anal sex and it leaks out of there into your vag then maybe.

Or maybe not Grin

I wasn't saying that she couldn't be fertile I just hadn't heard that you would be overly fertile, which is what the op said in her post. it implied you are more fertile than usual after giving birth, which is new to me.

WalkingBlind · 19/05/2016 21:25

Jeepers The GP mentioned it at my 6 week check and Google says its right but I didn't know either

I'm still laughing at the fish and place marking

DrDreReturns · 19/05/2016 22:03

When DS was born the midwife told us to make sure we used contraception as you can be very fertile just after giving birth.

WalkingBlind · 19/05/2016 22:39

I promise if I get up the duff to update this thread haha Grin

TheHobbitMum · 20/05/2016 15:12

Yup absolutely can happen, not that I would speak from experience of course Hmm I also didn't find myself pregnant with DS1 4 weeks after DD1 was born, honest Grin

MagpieCursedTea · 22/05/2016 09:56

The midwife also warned me I could be more fertile soon after birth, not sure how that works.
Also totally not place marking...

ARichVernacular · 27/05/2016 07:03

Well, after being trolled by my body all week (late period, implantation-like spotting, nausea) and experiencing every emotion under the sun, I'm certainly not pregnant. Fuck this shit, I'm getting a coil - I can't go through all this again.

eurochick · 27/05/2016 07:27

I know two people it has apparently happened to - one I believe and one I don't. The first was the girl who ran the Christian Union at my school. She got up the duff just before the end of sixth form. She claimed she hadn't dtd but I don't believe her. I think she just had to say that because she had spent ages banging on about how sex before marriage was bad. The second was a good friend. She already had two very easily conceived children. She conceived the third without intercourse just as she was preparing to go back to work after a career break. Apparently she hurled the positive test at her husband and told him to get a bloody vasectomy sorted. He did. That one I believe!
