Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Af has arrived and she is really ugly. If I'm not pregnant by next month, I may end up shooting my uterus in the face.

SuchaJem · 25/02/2016 13:43

Haha lyssie I know the feeling! I need to direct more love towards my uterus ahead of ISW. She needs to be on my side!

fx there's a whole lot to be said for being grateful for what you do have - amen to that. I get a sabbatical next year too - 6 weeks! What do you think you might do with yours?

Hep154 · 25/02/2016 14:05

Thanks fx Smile

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 16:48

Haha Fx! Liking the PMA, you're very right that there are worse problems to have in the grand scheme of things I still want a baby like now though

Jem that was a sterling effort last month! I doubt I can persuade DH to dtd that much! We both enjoy it too but we are weekenders normally and don't usually bother in the week.

Nooo Lyssie! Don't do it, that will be so ouch! I'm squirming thinking about it!

Pugmummy87 · 25/02/2016 16:49

Sorry if it sounded like I was demeaning anyone who was feeling down about ttc by mentioning that I was planning on being positive this cycle about things. Was not my intention, I totally agree that being about to vent negative feelings is a good thing and everyone needs a good moan now and again. TTC is a lonely and frustrating experience at times.

Started the clear blue opks today in prep for approaching isw. Sorry if tmi, but we dtd last night and DH turned to me after and said 'So round 2 on Friday then?' Grin
I think he's finally got it!

Unfortunately I have started a 9 day stretch of shifts today and I do worry about how up for it I will be feeling .

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 16:52

Yay Hep for maximum sexus! Are you going away anywhere?

Don't worry Pug, I think everyone knew you were talking about yourself and not judging anyone else. I am mostly being positive but it's hard to stay chirpy when AF comes! Hope you're not too knackered for dtd.

Feefeefs · 25/02/2016 17:04

Yay pugmummy so much easier when. They get on board.

Feeling a bit more positive today. Also a bit like Schrödinger's cat/pregnant lady! One symptom makes me think I am then the next makes me think I'm not.

Does anyone else AF symptom spot more then pregnancy symptom spot?

FXSkip · 25/02/2016 17:04

Jem how exciting! I am thinking about going to Tasmania, New Zealand, Borneo and the Philippines to visit friends. Tricky as OH looking for a new job at the moment so they might not want him to take 8 weeks off work, in which case I might go and study yoga in india.

What are your plans?

Feefeefs · 25/02/2016 17:06

Wow fx that's sounds amazing!!
No chance of a sabbatical in my job :(

Chocaholic88 · 25/02/2016 17:12

Hey everyone. Sorry - off the map again.

Morning/all day sickness is back... coupled with splitting headaches and a whole magazine that needs editing before Tuesday... silently sceams

In other news my next scan has been brought forward 2 weeks to the 22nd March :)

How is everyone??

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 17:31

Fx that sounds amazing! I've always wanted to take a few months off, go to Argentina and learn Spanish in Buenos Aires. Then to travel up Argentina, taking in Iguazu falls, and travel to Brazil, then to Central America. I don't ask much!

Feefs you might be surprised, lots of nhs staff do take sabbaticals and return to work eg I know a few people (doctors and nurses-but I would have thought it would apply to other NHS staff)who've been to Australia/NZ to work for a year. I think if you're permanent you can request it after a certain length of service?

Choco so sorry you're feeling crap again. Hope the work isn't too arduous. How come they brought your scan forward? Exciting that you don't have long to wait.

FXSkip · 25/02/2016 17:33

Good work Pugmummy, and also do not feel you have to apologise for anything. This forum is a place where we can all vent and ask for support at our most crazy times, in a supportive and understanding environment. No judgement (unless you POAS too early and miss out on a starkystar invoke the wrath of Starky!!)

I am ALREADY SYMPTOM SPOTTING and I haven't even ovulated yet - WTF Brain?!!!

FXSkip · 25/02/2016 17:36

elle that sounds amazing - we also have family in Buenos Aires so will definitely be getting out there at some point, but too scared of Zika right now!!!

Hep154 · 25/02/2016 17:45

feefs I'm a definite AF spotter with additional boob prodding!

I also refer to my Schrödinger baby during the tww!

Elle I'm on the train now to meet up with oh at the city where work has sent for the last many months. Staying in his hotel, but he has upgraded to a plush room! Dinner out tonight, then long weekend visiting DB and SIL.

They unfortunately cannot have kids, but have 3 gorgeous furbabies instead.

Chocaholic88 · 25/02/2016 17:45

elle it's not half as bad as it could be. It's just difficult to stay motivated when you're at home and feel rubbish. I end up in the office staring out of the window haha!

They brought it forward because although my scan Tuesday put me at 8 weeks today, I could still move forward in dates by up to a week as early scanning isn't quite as accurate.

So the scan on 5th of April will have put me at 13+5... which means if they move me more than 3 days forward I'll miss the Nuchal screening window. The consultant I'm under (because I have a ridiculously low bmi that clearly is natural or I couldn't have conceived 3 times no problem) only has clinic every two weeks so they've move it forward to when I'll be 11+5 instead :)

Kwick709 · 25/02/2016 17:58

I am bus on my way home - early for once as i have a conference call at 7pm... Will have to inject whilst on the call....!

MrsSHolmes · 25/02/2016 18:03

Cycle 8
Ttc 1
Age 27
Due AF soon n taking test tomorrow

Hello ladies. Are we just about to lose our minds? Cos I certainly am if I hear one more slag getting pregnant off a one niht stand Grin

Mileymoocow · 25/02/2016 18:17

Aw kwick no! Can't the call wait a little or could you bring forward your injection?

fx that sounds lovely! What a brilliant adventure!

feef you must be almost ready to poas?!

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 18:22

Ooh Hep that sounds promising! Think I'm going to book us a night in a hotel next FW.

FX lucky you having family out there! Wish some of mine would emigrate somewhere exciting!

Haha Choc I'd be the same! I'd be constantly staring out of the window and making cups of tea. Didn't know that about the nuchal scans. Hope it flies by and your sickness goes away again!

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 18:23

Kwick you might want to put it on mute! Hope it's not too horrible having to inject on the call. Flowers

Welcome MrsSH Smile

SuchaJem · 25/02/2016 20:28

No such thing as tmi on this thread I reckon pug. Good work from your oh, it's so much easier when they are on board.

fx that sounds amazing, what an incredible mix of places. I spent my gap year in Sabah, Borneo, it's a truly wonderful place. I have no idea what I'll do with mine! I quite fancy going back to Australia, dhs heart is set on Japan. I really hope we will have a baby by then too.

Just had a lovely evening with my lovely brother in law with wine and pizza. He was in town doing his final gp exam and DH is away at work, but it was actually quite nice to really chat to him properly. An unexpectedly lovely evening :)

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 25/02/2016 20:36

Hello lovely ladies sorry I've been awol for a few days, was quite down about arrival of af and also had a busy week at work.
Will catch up on all of your posts Flowers

Ni4444 · 25/02/2016 21:15

Argh I missed out on the b*tching! My twopence:
"I've left it too late, I shouldn't have been on the pill for 10years, I'd get pregnant if I was exercising more, my work stress is affecting my body more than I realise" And this month I have decided I don't have enough CM cos I'm old and drying up, and I have an acidic woman cave which is killing off all the swimmers!

Cd21 on my second month of temping and I'm stopping bbt after this cycle. Seems to show that hormones are ok, and I'm ovulating (although maybe short luteal phase) so that's all I needed to know. Started EPO this month and will take again next cycle. Happened across a pineapple in the shops so am now eating pineapple slice every day until AF! (What a dope I am!). Will take opks just around FW.

we need to be having more sex!! so fed up of it! Only dtd 3 times this Month although day before O and 2 days before!

Sorry for rant. Feeling like we're out this month anyway on account of the barren mucus. But only 4dpo...I'm sure next week I'll be convinced I'm preggers!

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 21:18

Wine is the one positive of AF Jem! Smile

Sorry you've been down Zazzles, how are you feeling now?

I was browsing conception/fertility books on Amazon earlier and came across this one by Marisa Peer-anyone read it? It's all about positive thinking and removing 'baby blocks' or mental blocks to conception. I am tempted to buy it but am a cynic and worried it will make me cross!

ElleSarcasmo · 25/02/2016 21:21

Did EPO help your mucus Ni? I have started it this month. I could have written your moan a couple of days ago. I've had a day off today and had a lovely day, lovely run in the sunshine, met up with a friend, had my hair cut...I feel like a new woman! Smile
