Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

Very sorry suchajem Flowers have some vino & chocolate... Even if it is before noon!

Evergreen15 · 23/02/2016 11:13

Ahhh
I just had to rush around like mad at work and when I sat down I felt nauseous GrinGrinGrin someone stop the symptom spotting madness, quick!!!

Feefeefs · 23/02/2016 11:13

Sorry suchajem it just messes with your head doesn't it!! I was on board with you being pregnant. It's a frustrating game

SuchaJem · 23/02/2016 11:17

Thanks girls. It helps so much going through this with you all.

On the slight plus side, my publisher has just asked me to do to present at the annual ‘Town Hall’ meeting this Thursday. Not being upduffed means I can swig some surreptitious Bloody Marys beforehand to survive it… Not to mention I don’t have to miss out on the wine tasting in South Africa – one of the main reasons to go there, IMO! #silverlining

Hep154 · 23/02/2016 11:40

sorry jem but enjoy the wine tasting!

I will be commiserating last months disappointment on thursday with wine (in moderation of course ;) ), oysters and rare steak with blue cheese sauce.... wonder how many other "forbidden" items i can throw in?

think i will start opk testing today...

SuchaJem · 23/02/2016 12:02

Quick DTD question which played on my mind last ISW. After DTD, do you stay horizontal for a while, to get gravity involved in the hunger games? I usually nip straight to the loo, but kept wondering if I wasn't giving the little guys enough of a fighting chance.

Feefeefs · 23/02/2016 12:03

Throw in a triple espresso hep! Or even espresso martini!!

South Africa will be amazing sucha you defo wouldn't want to miss out on the wine tasting! That's a great thing to take your mind off it plus a good holiday is probably just what you need to get in prime baby making territory!

Feefeefs · 23/02/2016 12:04

I have been staying horizontal sucha even though I think it's nonsense! I usually manage 5-10 minutes before I have to pee.

Confusedcat1 · 23/02/2016 12:16

I stay horizontal for twenty mins each time...... Even though it's probably nonsense. But it just feels counterproductive if it all runs straight out!

Sorry about af jem

Lyssie · 23/02/2016 12:46

Still had an invisible line today... But I haaaate EPT brand... So will test again tomorrow or Thursday and try again!!!

Confusedcat1 · 23/02/2016 12:47

Can we see lyssie ?

RaeSkywalker · 23/02/2016 12:53

Sucha I just go to the loo. Tempted to stay horizontal but suffer with UTIs anyway so don't want to encourage one!

Kat AF is due on the 5th for me...

Confusedcat1 · 23/02/2016 13:25

Has anyone ever taken a plastic test apart and seen the little round thing, it looks like a tablet? Anyone know what it is?

Feefeefs · 23/02/2016 13:46

No idea confused have been using internet cheapie so far so nothing to take apart

BunchOfBobs · 23/02/2016 14:04

Hi all waves.
Just popping in saying I'm still around, sorry I've not been posting. I'm still checking the threads every morning hoping for more bfps particularly from the originals.
Hope you're all doing well.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/02/2016 14:06

I have confused just assumed they were to absorb the humidity/moisture. Perhaps to prolong shelf life. Like how they put the little packets of absorbent beads in with the cheapies.

AF is due tomorrow and I've a mixture of normal pre-AF symptoms and nausea. I promised I would hold out until I was late but feeling this sickly is weird. We Dtd within 24 hrs of a positive opk and when ovia calculated ovulation. Not sure if I can hold out much longer!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 23/02/2016 14:09

Sorry you're out jem it's sucky, that's why I decided early on that symptom spotting was a bust and testing early was a no-go. The bfn's take such a shine off it iykwim!

lyssie post a pic. Is it an evap or a squinter when you say it's an imaginary line.

As much as I'd love everyone to get a bfp, it can be so stressful with symptom spotting and early testing. It's awful not testing but I've found makes it easier to deal with the disappointment if I always assume that I'm not pregnant rather than that I am.

Sucha Gutted re AF. I had high hopes for you. But the wine tasting is a small consolation I suppose.

No idea re the tests. I'm still yet to see a pregnancy test! lol

kat I'm due the 5th, but that's supposing my cycle is normal post pill. I do seem to have ovulated on time but we shall see. I don't think I'd test until a few days after to try to avoid disappointment of a BFN?

SuchaJem · 23/02/2016 14:27

stark it’s taken me two cycles to realise this and now I’m sold. No more early testing for me. Henceforth I am assuming I’m not pregnant and IF I get a late period then and only then can I test! The disappointment is crushing.

Hep154 · 23/02/2016 14:31

i think part of reason i plan to start opk testing is that i want to predict better when AF is coming, again so i don't get my hopes up again when i have a long cycle (AF was 8 days late, wish I had you lasses to help me last month!)

Mileymoocow · 23/02/2016 14:45

jem I didn't hold the man milk after either, for the UTI reasons (I'm prone to them and am not a fan of feeling like I'm pissing razor blades). Sorry about shitty af! She's the biggest cow going.

I've just got out of hospital. Had a telephone appt. with my doc this morning which quickly turned into please come down to the surgery for a check over which quickly turned into please go to hospital.

Apparently I'm quite badly dehydrated (didn't even realise as I thought I was drinking plenty) so am now sporting 2 snazzy anti sickness bands and have anti sickness tablets to take. I'm under instruction to do nothing and drink plenty otherwise I'll end up back there on a drip. Also I threw up into a bin whilst waiting in reception. Classy Grin

Hep154 · 23/02/2016 15:02

miley take care of yourself! sounds as if you really are having a tough time. I hope you are online via your bed or a comfy sofa!

IrregularCommentary · 23/02/2016 15:20

Bloody hell Miley, hope you're starting to improve soon.

Sorry Jem, I thought you were a sure thing this time. Yay for the wine tasting though! Go to Cape Point Vineyards. Beautiful wine and views and a lovely drive across there too.

Mooseville · 23/02/2016 15:46

Wow miley Hope you get over this soon. Sounds horrific! Can't believe you sound so upbeat about it! Hope your other half is looking after you!
