Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 11. Welcome one and all!
We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

thanks starky, kwick

I reckon that we should do what ever we can to de-stress and enjoy the dtd. For some people opk helps and for some it hinders. For me, i want to figure out my cycle as i got it so wrong last month. I don't think the SMEP method is for us.

As for de-stressing, this forum is doing me a world of good!!!

I think the best advice, for those of us with access to LL, comes from Prof Robert Winston : "have lots of fun sex", so if c0ck rings help ....

kwick I really do wish you the best of luck, IVF is not an easy journey. But it does work for some.

Hep154 · 21/02/2016 13:58

thanks Ni

Mileymoocow · 21/02/2016 14:02

Congratulations mymr!

I did opks starting at about cd7 but I ovulated at about 11 or 12

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/02/2016 14:07

Don't get me wrong hep I literally LOVE opk's! And I've found them a massive help, especially with working out my cycle, which is at best, erratic! Grin But because Dh is training is now paramount, even though he's got a blooming injury) I want to take the pressure off myself. And I'm doing it on the precise that actively ttc (with charting cm, opk's, I didn't drink etc) will only make me hopeful, and this sounds miserable but I'd probably do better the next couple of cycle if I wasnt thinking "well we dtd the right amount, I charted right and I still didn't catch"

SuchaJem · 21/02/2016 15:16

Yay ni, go mrni :)

Congratulations mrmy!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/02/2016 15:21

star that's definitely a positive opk. You are having a surge! Make the most of it and bone like a champ!

rae as long as you're not doing contact sports like rugby or whatever you should be fine. My mate was hardcore dieting/training for a body building bikini comp before she knew she was pregnant and now has a beautiful baby girl.

Wow congrats MyMrK! Thanks

Confusedcat1 · 21/02/2016 17:13

I'm trying really hard not symptom spot this cycle. I always do really well in week one of the tww but by week two I get that little glimmer of hope...

Anyway can we talk boobs? I've had sore boobs since about 3dpo and they're consistently sore. It's like a dull ache that is worse on the sides and very high, almost up to my shoulders. Is that not too early for pms boobs? I've also got a monster spot which isn't developing and has been there for the last four days or so. I'm currently 9dpo.

What I want someone to do is tell me to stop being ridiculous and hopeful... It just seems like it started too early to be pms? Did anyone who had a bfp notice anything different about the pain they had as opposed to af?

firstgo1984 · 21/02/2016 17:17

confused i literally have no symptoms!

Mileymoocow · 21/02/2016 17:20

I got boob pain down the sides rather than nipple pain which was usual for af. I was convinced af was coming in all honesty as I had terrible cramping and bloating, too. Anything can be a symptom of af/bfp unfortunately Sad

IndiX · 21/02/2016 17:31

Congrats to any BFPers this week!! Lovely news xx

Confused I'd never had boob pain before AF so couldn't compare but I had it from about 3/4dpo and it was all down the sides and kind of in my armpits, apparently you feel it down the sides as its where you milk glands start developing first. Really painful dull ache as you described, I got my bfp around 11/12dpo. I don't want to make you crazy but sounds like a good sign to me.

Hope the rest of you lovely ladies are doing ok and have had a nice weekend full of sex or wine or cake..or all 3!

bluebird3 · 21/02/2016 17:34

In my experience symptoms for af can be so changeable I can read anything into them. I'll have a certain boob pain for 2-3 months in a row, think I've established a pattern, the next month no pain...and still Af rears her ugly head. Same with all symptoms. Could be either way but you won't know till you get your lovely two lines. Fingers crossed for you.

LaraG13 · 21/02/2016 17:37

confused my boobs don't normally get sore before AF but they did a day before my BFP. They feel swollen and painful, and my nipples were/are sore.

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 17:49

Thanks Kwick, I will check out It starts with the egg! I am trying to get healthy at the moment in any case. this weekend not the best example! I know just what you mean about pregnant women, they are everywhere!

That's a great idea for SOD Zazzles!! I will look into it!

Starky I should have learnt by now not to ask him a question I don't want an excessively honest answer to. DH definitely has some Aspergers traits, normally I see it as a positive but sometimes...you just want them to say the right thing! Did you say your dad has Aspergers?

ElleSarcasmo · 21/02/2016 17:50

3-4 dpo Indi? That is interesting! I thought that would be way to early for symptoms.

firstgo1984 · 21/02/2016 17:51

lara just shows how different we all ate. I got sore boobs at ovulation and before af last cycle but not yet in early preg

Mileymoocow · 21/02/2016 17:55

elle my bloating started at 4dpo and still hasn't gone away. I wrote a very detailed and extensive list of my symptoms on a daily basis in ovia. I'll see if I can find it. I symptom spotted like a mf.

LillianFullStop · 21/02/2016 17:59

first my sore boobs literally just kicked in today (and with a vengeance) at 6+2. without a bra I have to hold them steady just to walk or try to do a weird glidey walk to minimise bounce. I won't even attempt a treadmill at this rate!

firstgo1984 · 21/02/2016 18:07

Haha lillian something to look forward to!

Kwick709 · 21/02/2016 18:22

Oh God... Just saw the time... Less than 40 minutes before injections! Gulp!
