Help! Clearblue fertility monitor keeps saying 'needs cleaning'

Hello all, just wondering if anyone has any help or advice, I have a cbfm which I've used for quite some time now with no problems. Today was the first day of this cycle that required a test, I turned it on, the red light flashed and then came up with the !brush mark. I cleaned it like I always have done-damp cotton bud; this didn't work 😞. I phoned the helpline and she wasn't very helpful tbh, just said it's a old model and it's no longer working.. I kind of gathered that!! Has anyone else has this problem?
