Congratulations to all the BFPs I missed

Hello everyone, I missed you all too and am back from holiday. I feel a bit of a fraud posting on the chart spotters thread this month as I totally messed it up. None of my late morning temps early month were accepted by the tool. Then this last week I didn't temp to give dh a break from thinking about it and we were staying in shared accommodation.

CD36 today and according to the CBFM my peak day was CD28. So really late OV this month I think just to really irritate me...

I'm off to chart spot :0)

PS: I'll get mine back on track for next cycle

Thanks LondonLottie yes the break was nice good to get fresh air but skiing is exhausting have come home for a rest!

Part of me missed temping as I am now without the information. Just waiting for my rediculously long cycle to end!

How are you doing?

Sorry to hear AF arrived lottie.

WB cityangel! I agree it does you both good to give the temping a break now and again.

My DH just phoned to say the QM has told them they'll most likely be home late tomorrow night!! Not Friday! (and I blubbed like a big wuss) Praying now that temp is back below coverline and that this morning was just a blip. Still about same amount of ferning on ovatel as yesterday so bit more hopeful.

cityangel · 28/01/2007 21:39

Yes very frustating for all the obvious reasons, but also the longer the cycle the more time you waste waiting. 11 years on the pill and only 6 months off I should try and be more patient.

A lot of friends work away from home and it is frustrating especially when being away at certain times a month can clearly restrict options. Try and sneak in a few naughty weekends. Also the one main thing I've learnt is that don't stick to a predictable fertility window (away or not) because you could be wrong. If working away is your chosen option then you may have to resign yourself to put ttc on hold.

Just try and enjoy yourself for you :0)

Hey Lisa I know how that feels but try to avoid making it a show stopper as I have found that can put them off full stop. feeling under performance pressure etc. Try sneaking morning nookie or a emergency duvet day. Good luck.

BBWBabeLisa · 28/01/2007 22:36

Nah city, he's been away for a week, I can justifiably jump on him and let him assume it's just coz I've missed him so much and am so glad he's home earlier than expected. Might even tell him about my temp shift this morning so he thinks he's getting a sneaky non-ttc shag lol

Ready · 29/01/2007 11:16

Cityangel - good to have you back (listen to me, the honorary chart spotter!) Glad you had a good time.

BBWBabeLisa - You'll just have to drink a lot of coffee and wait up for DH.

Right, off to chart spot. Keep looking at MrsMcJnr's little egg on her chart.

3catstoo · 29/01/2007 20:09

Geek and LL, sorry about AFs .
BBW, go for it as soon as he gets home.
Hope everyone elae is well.
Nothing happening here. Still not taking temps but I am recording CM on my chart and will start using the opks on Wednesday. Ov is predicted for Sunday but I will start testing early just in case.

BBWBabeLisa · 29/01/2007 20:29

arrggh just typed a long message and lost it! To sum up:

Greedy - hows u? Heard from EPU re blood results yet?

3cats - almost cycle buddies this month, sw predicting saturday ov for me, but I'm certain it'll be sooner coz had days of EWCM already.

Temp going above coverline yesterday seems to have been the hoped for blip, as back down today, so fingers crossed I've yet to ov.
DH due home in an hour or so traffic permitting - got a spag bol cooking and a bottle of pinot grigio chilling (in fact to hell with it, going to have a glass now).

greedyforbabies · 29/01/2007 21:05

bbw - have a good night! thanks for asking about me. my hcg level was 418. apparently the level itself isn't that important it is whether it doubles in 48hours or not that is important. so i have to go for another bld test on wed and then take it from there. if it has doubled the pg is considered viable and if not............. i will be back ttc again next month! i just hate the waiting

Jumped on quick to see what was going on and I've missed so much. Greedy - WOW! congratulations hon!!! how did you find out what the HCG levels are? I am still V nervous about my little beanie. Saw Dr today and am to have an early scan at 7 weeks (currently 4+4) but she won't even test my hcgs until next week. Lottie and Geek - I'm sorry. Will post more very soon.

greedyforbabies · 29/01/2007 22:09

not really sure congrats are in order for me anymore mrs. had lots of bleeding, cramps and lost lots of nasty clots in the past 2 days so i think it is probably over for me im afraid. went to the early pregnancy unit today and they did my hcg levels to see if they could scan me or not. now having them taken again on wed and then a scan after that. its not like the bleeding ive had in previous pregnancies so im not very hopeful. hope you had a better weekend than me!

greedyforbabies · 29/01/2007 22:17

hate to say it mrs, but i dont think you are 4+4 as that is what i am and i am 18dpo today. you ov'd a bit later than day 14 didnt you? im just being picky really! and it doesn't make much difference, but i feel like you are the type of person who likes to be accurate! you cant always count from LMP cos mine was 9th dec! which would make me about 8 wks! fettle knows all about working out dates!

fettle · 29/01/2007 22:31

Hi all

Hope you had a good weekend MrsMc - very impressed you've managed to get a scan for 7 weeks and some HCG levels checked. My GP this morning, wouldn't do anything. 2 miscarriages obviously don't count for much!

As to working out your dates - Toni W (TCOYF) says to add 9 calendar months to the day of your temp rise and then take 1 week off. So my temp rise was on 9th Jan, so that makes me due Oct 2nd and 5 weeks today.

Greedy, really hope your levels have doubled by Wed.

Hope everyone else is well - got to go, DH grumping as I not helping him!!

x

greedyforbabies · 29/01/2007 22:36

me due (fingers and toes and everything crossed) 5th oct, 4+4 today!

BBWBabeLisa · 29/01/2007 22:53

I think you're right to base your dates on your actual ov date greedy. When I fell pg with my DD I told the consultants at the diabetic preg clinic that I ov'd on day 20, so they should adjust my dates accordingly. They looked at me like I was a freak and said the due date is give or take a week or so, so it doesn't really matter. Next time I will be giving them a "date of last period" that I've worked out based on their misguided "ov'ing on day 15" assumption, rather than when I actually had my last period. Being diabetic any child of mine will always be induced by 38 weeks at the latest, and a week could make a big difference to the maturity of their lungs, so I'm not happy to just shrug it off the way they did.

P.S. He's home, and currently "sorting out his admin" (laundry, uniform for tomorrow etc) before he'll sit down and relax with the wine and dinner. Oh well....least he's home

I'm not well, choked with the cold so decided to have a duvet day, I know that's naughty so early in new job but this way, I might get better before I get worse. So I'm going to read back and catch up and I'll be back soon

Hello 3cats ? re your comment about all our action this cycle! Why couldn?t DH have put all that effort in the 7 cycles before!? My Mum?s boobs got smaller too after us but apparently she didn?t start with very much. Mine are definitely getting bigger ? no safety pins anymore on my wrap tops! Thank you for your congratulations for me. I am still very nervous, it doesn?t seem real and I have to stop myself knicker watching. The Dr wouldn?t do a test until next week and of course, she can?t say much but she did say the spotting was a concern I do so hope this little one hangs on. Software says my EDD is 7 October. The grapefruit juice does work to increase your EWCM I think. It makes the fluids in your body more liquid so you get more.

Greedy ? oh my god I am so sorry about the bleeding, how horrible for you, I?m sending you huge hugs and praying for your beanie. We are here for you.

Hello Honeyapple ? interesting what you say about the underwired bras, if I am lucky enough to stay pregnant, I am going to need to buy new bras very soon so I am not sure what type to buy really!

Lottie ? hello I am sorry about AF, I really hope this is your cycle. When I saw the Dr yesterday and I told her that we?d been trying for 8 cycles she said that that was a perfectly normal period of time for someone my age but she could see that I thought it was a long time. She thought my chart was crazy, she couldn?t work it out at all. DH said she thought I was a nutter maybe she did as she asked him if he could verify the positive result! It makes me cross too that medical professionals give us no credit for trying to help matters along.

Natty ? hello there. I know exactly what you mean about thinking it will never happen and it did for me and it does for most at some point so keep hold of that hon. I?m sending you huge hugs, I know what you?ve been through and know how much you want that baby and if this cycle is not the one for you, I hope the procedure helps speed the process up, I?ve heard it can, even if there was nothing there that was an issue You can moan all you like, we are all ears. Never think you are the only one who gets themselves into a state, we all do and I agree that it isn?t fair that it happens so easily for some and it?s so hard for others.

Thank you Piz how are you getting on hon? Piz, for those who don?t know her is also a graduate from this thread!

Thanks Maisiemog ? hope the good vibes help you hon

Hello BBW ? hope you were very busy last night

Hello Ready ? glad you like my chickie on my chart

Hello Cityangel ? hope you had a good holiday good to have you back.

Hello Fettle, how are you feeling about everything? Thanks for explaining how to work out weeks. Chooster has my book so I haven?t checked it. That method makes my EDD 8/10 so would that make me 4 + 1 today? So early, so scary?.

Off to chart spot!

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 10:51

I?ve uploaded my chart too. I took my temp yesterday but I don?t want to do it anymore, I think it would stress me out.

Fleecy pj time Natty

3Cats ? so sorry, forgot to ask, how are you feeling now? Any better?

Cityangel ? temps are nice and high hon.

Great to be able to see a chart for you Ready

Got the first BD in ages onto my chart now! Temp low again this morning, LOADS of ferns on ovatel, negative ov test strip bout half hour ago and still got EWCM so I'm certain I'm still in with a shout. Bloody hope so, coz DH informed me last night that they're away for 2 weeks around the beginning of march, and software is predicting next ov for me to be 8th March. I have a horrible feeling this is gonna be out last chance before iraq so have shown him MrsMc's chart with the non-stop BD'ing and told him to expect a busy week!

fettle · 30/01/2007 13:25

BBW - good luck!! sound hopeful still!

I know from experience how frustrating it is for DHs to disappear to sandy places, leaving you still not pg behind!! DH was there last summer and I hadn't manage to conceive following my mc at the beginning of the year before he went. However, we conceived 1st cycle he was back just before Christmas (unfortunately also mc that one, but at least I got pg!).

Sure you won't need to, but make sure you time R&R at the right time!!
