Hi, new to this.
I was just wondering if their are any ladies ttc or have recently found out they are pregnant.
I've just had a visit from Af, this is the first month of ttc. I weigh about 21st and know I need to loose weight.

I have always been fat, i have 5 kids aged 21, 18, 16, 12 and 5. I was my heaviest when I conceived my 5th DC, at almost 20 stone.....so I would say I conceived all my kids without too much trouble (3 months or less) being between 17 and 20 stones

Im 44 now, have lost 2 stones, but I think its age rather than weight thats stopping me from conceiving #6

good luck hunny :)

I'm big (BMI 37). Pregnant with my second right now. Both times it was really fast - with my DS I came off the pill and was pregnant before my next period Shock. This time round it happened in the second month of TTC. So there is definitely hope!

Think of all those beautifully blubbery fertility godess statues from ancient cultures. Big thighs is a good thing...

All the best in your endeavours!!

I am 5'3 and used to weight 17 stone. I couldn't get pregnant until I lost weight (tried for two years). I did weight watchers, got to 14 stone, pregnant then, after DS1 I joined SW and got to 13 stone, pregnant again lol.

Two kids is enough so back at SW now trying to get to 9 and a half stone.

Being pregnant at 14 stone was painful and overwhelming, I dread to think what it would have been like even heavier. I would recommend trying to lose as much as possible first for you and baby.

Best of luck :)

I don't know what I weighed but I was size 18-20 when I conceived my DTs. It took about 9 months of trying n I saw the doctor who advised me to lose 3 stone n they would then consider Clomid but I got pregnant before I really started my diet.

It is possible but it is harder being pregnant when u r already big so if u can (n believe me I know how hard it is!) try n shift a bit first.

Good luck x

Thank you to all of you for taking the time to reply. ????

I am doing weight watchers at the moe, but not too well, my partner works away and I get so bored of an eve and end up picking, especially after a long day at work.
I already have a 15 year old from a previous relationship but at 36 yrs old time is ticking on and even though I'd be starting again, I'd love to have a baby with my partner. However it's only early days, I'm not too worried at the moe.
Did any one track their ovulation when ttc?

I never tracked ovulation but if it helps I lost weight quicker and with much less hunger on SW

I am a "larger lady" I lost a lot with Slimming World a few years back and then had a major trauma in my life and put it all back on. Been TTC for 18 months now and starting back on SW again next week. I have done it before, and know I can again- just very daunting when you have a lot to lose. Good luck.

So back to being an angel then of me. I am thinking of joining the gym too to speed things up!

Brit- I did the same, lost a lot of weight the put it back on. We'll both tackle the weight loss and hopefully everything will fall into place.
