Has anyone agreed to stop but not wanted to? How did you cope

I have 3 children. I've also had 3 miscarriages. Pregnancy is hard for me, full of stress and worry and they're not easy medically either. So dh was really hard to persaude to number 3 and I agreed to stop. So at 37 years of age I must now stop. But I look at my children and think why? They're soooo wonderful that I want more. So how did you find peace?

Wills, I'm afariad it is only now on my 6th baby that I'm ready to stop. I have had 6 miscarriages as well.
Dp was hard to persuade at times, but I couldn't have been at peace until I'd had all the children I needed to have and I know I would have resented dp for it if he had tried to stop me.
I know there are 2 people in a relationship and you should think about both sides, but with an issue as basic and driven as having more children I think it's a very hard thing to do.
I hope you find the peace you are searching for.
You could always nag him into submission
