Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help, was due AF Thursday just gone and started spotting brown, which I have done everyday since so just assumed AF was arriving!
I only came off the pull mid December so although AF regular in jan and feb, I thought it was just a little delayed now and I wasnt preggers! I came home from work this evening and as I've barely had any discharge all day and just some mild cramping! No other symptoms I took a cheapo waitrose test, I think I saw a very faint line DH not convinced! It wasn't a concentrated wee!! Sorry TMI! No more test but thought I'd do an opk which resulted in this photo!? Any ideas?

Can't wait to get to the shop in the am and buy a test!!x

The Sainsbury's own brand are blue +/- ones - hence suggesting Superdrug own ones which are pink dye ones, given the OP has a choice. That said, I got accurate early positives with the Sainsbury's ones.

Cramps and spotting are normal. Good luck!

BiggerYellowTaxi · 15/03/2015 09:01

Bumping pee into a receptacle like a little plastic pot and keep it for later.

And yes, cramping is normal in early pregnancy.

Thanks to everyone for replying, I will defo post some pictures once test taken! I've really appreciate all the advice no matter what the result. An hour to go. Distracting myself with master chef!

I would get cheap ones from ebay or poundland. In real terms, it doesn't matter. All pregnancy tests are pretty amazing tbh.

I only say avoid blue dye because if it is faint and you squint for ages and then post on here, there's always a "maybe it is an evap" response so you dither and end up buying more tests and people say get pink dye because it's further away from the grey of an evaporation line than blue dye so less room for confusion. Cut out the dithering and just get pink dye if possible.

And again, the +/- ones are fine too but then you google and see the words "dye bleed" and you dither and get a || test instead. Again, cut out potential for dithering.

I wouldn't buy a digital test ever. Too ££ and CB are manipulative money grabbing buggers. IMO.

Told ya! HUGE congrats, what a fabulous day to find out! I had implantation brown spotting plus bleeding in the first 8 weeks with both my pregnancies. All worked out fine both times so don't worry.

All of my pregnancies have been heralded by positive opks!

Bumpingalong84 · 15/03/2015 14:43

Its still not sunk in! It's our first time trying and after spending the best part of 10 years avoiding pregnancy it's just bizzare! I know we are super lucky!

Thank you for all the well wishes and support, it's nice when we don't have a clue who to tell and not tell, I'll have to tell manager as there will be patients I can't look after but other than that who do you tell and when! My best friend just had a miscarriage last week as 5weeks! It will be awkward telling her! Ahh mind field!
