how do you know from EWCM that you are ovulating, if you have it for several days?

I have started recording my EWCM, and am now on day 3 of it being quite egg white and stringy. Does this mean I am ovulating, or that I am about to? Sorry if this is a stupid question!

ovulation usually happens on the last day of EWCM. I get a steady build up of EWCM and OV on the 7th day which is the day I get the most.

Although EWCM isn't an indicator of OV, just that you're about to. You'll need to temp to confirm if OV is happening (I temped and realised I got OV pain every time so have eased back a little, I got a bit obsessive!)

How many days do people have EWCM for? Mine seems to have peaked by day 3, then reduced to hardly any.

Helpfully it varies from woman to woman so no definite answer I'm afraid. To confuse it more I also seem to get it just before AF arrives too!

Ha ha thanks! Well we DTD yesterday, but according to my charts I am not ment to ovulate until Tuesday, but I think I may have ovulated early this month. Plus its looking like the only action I am getting this week so hopefully it was during ovulation Angry
