I've been lurking on these boards for a few months whilst trying to get my head round my cycle and ovulation symptoms. Now nervously de-lurking in the hope that someone can make more sense of it than I can!
For background, I have PCOS, diagnosed 12 years go but without consistent treatment. When I mentioned TTC to the doctor, they suggested that I come in for a test on the day that I ovulate. So, I started charting in the hope of spotting some trends in my cycles and being able to identify ovulation.
The first two cycles, I just tracked temperature, but during the current one I've been using the Ovia app to track other symptoms. I've also been using OPKs, although they aren't always reliable with PCOS. Ovia keeps getting confused and adjusting my fertile period, so I've also entered all my temps into Fertility Friend.
My periods aren't predictable but are relatively frequent. Average cycle length is about 39 days and I'm currently on CD31.
I can't see any pattern in the first two tracked cycles - temps were all over the place with no obvious spike and rarely over 36°. The current cycle however has a couple of spikes, temperatures have generally been a bit higher and has stayed raised for the last 8 days. Previously, in the latter stages of the cycle, they've been variable and much lower.
I also had a lengthy period of EWCM, which is unusual as it's rarely noticeable. I did OPKs on each of these days, all negative, but on CD19 I did two which both showed a faint line plus the control line. I know this is negative, but wondered if it signified anything? First time I've seen anything but the control line.
FF gave me crosshairs late in the cycle, but with no other symptoms so I'm unconvinced.
Can anyone spot anything that might suggest ovulation? I'm driving myself a bit mad constantly looking at it and obviously missed any opportunity to go to the doctor for the test! There's a gap in the middle - forgot to take my thermometer to my Sister's wedding.

Hope I've got all the terminology right! Sorry it's so long, but thanks in advance for any wisdom - my GP's response is always "lose weight" so don't feel it's worth speaking to them about the details of my cycles. I AM losing weight, but feeling a little lost too.
