Hi Sam I took 3 years to conceive my daughter who is now 14 months. I remember the struggle, desperation & disappointment very clearly. My DH and I had unexplained infertility and that time was very dark for us. We were just about to sign the papers for private IVF when I did the test. It felt like a miracle at the time. It's really hard to keep going when everyone around you conceives. I hope my story will give you a little bit of hope that it will happen. All we did differently that month was almost say we'd given up, we relaxed, had fun and got drunk on a weekend away - the result is now babbling in her cot while I listen, smiling even though it's 5am. Good luck and I hope your situation changes very soon.x

Hi Sam. It's not been 3 years for me, but I have been ttc no.2 for 18 months now. My DS will be 3 in April. Age is not on my side as I am in my 40s, but I've had all the usual tests, and no problems found. It's so frustrating, as I just see the age gap getting bigger and bigger each month, and most of the mums that I met when I had my son now have second children. Sometimes I decide that I am very happy with just one, but then my af arrives, and it really gets me down that my body is not doing what is should do - especially when it did it relatively easily when I had my son!!
So, I know exactly how you feel. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it will happen for us and everyone else in the same boat soon.

We have been trying for 3 years and 2 months :(

I am almost 36 and i have a child who is 12 from a previous relationship.

All test results came back fine for us both, all except being anemic. Given the useless label of secondary infertility!

Which is just the doctors/nhs way of saying im now forgotten about.
unexplained cases to be filed away !

I dont smoke and i drink a glass of wine once a month not even that (usually when im on)

I weigh 12s 4Ib, 5.6 height so i didnt think this was to bad! Doctor has certainly never commented on it.
