Don't know what to think, accepted a new job today, had MRI scan a couple of weeks ago and due to have a knee op next week...

Haven't told dh yet as I don't know what he'll think either.

God my head is confused.

SherlockLGJ · 11/10/2006 16:58

Come on I need to get the child's tea, your DH will understand.

SherlockLGJ · 11/10/2006 16:59

That last post was missing a

VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/10/2006 17:00

i think i know who you are!!!!

cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 17:00

God I really don't want to say yet. I'm not exactly a regular so you prob wouldn't knwo me anyway but dh doesn't know yet and it's not fair to say anythig just incase somebody from RL recognises me. I am at work and totally shaking, can't believe. Not bad news, just unexpected and dh will go into panic mode- dd was really hard work for first year and we struggled quite a bit.

Period is almost 2 weeks late but is always irregular.

Please don't say I can't have my knee op, it's unbearable atm. And what if the MRI scan did some damage

OP posts:
cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 17:01

Will definitely say who I am after I have spoken to dh.

I'm quite sure you don't know who I am, honeslty! Haven't been round much lately

I need to go home and talk to dh but stuck here for coupleof hours

OP posts:
moljam · 11/10/2006 17:03

did they say mra may be damaging after you had it?

cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 17:05

Well i had to sign something saying i wasn't pg but i didn't think i was at the time- this was 2.5 weeks ago

Good news but just a shock as weren't ttc. Sorry for rambling but OMG....

OP posts:
SherlockLGJ · 11/10/2006 17:08

Aw sweetheart I was only teasing.

Maybe they could do the knee-op on a local.

moljam · 11/10/2006 17:11

hope all goes well with dh,finding out your pregnant is a shock even if planned!let us know how you get on!

cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 17:11

I know, don't worry. this is my second time, you'd think I'd KNOW!! Just blabbing randomly, on own at work and can only tell Mumsnet!

OP posts:
cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 17:12

Thanks Moljam

cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 17:16

Thanks Mars. Have just decided to leave work early and go and talk to dh if I can face it. First time round I phones him at work because i was so excited and knew he would be too but i don't know how he'll react. He does want more than one but has always said 'in the future'.
Thanks for chatting, will go shortly

OP posts:
cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 19:25

Well I'm home now and told dh. He was actually slightly more shocked than I am tbh. Have decided not to tell anybody for a while until we get our heads rouns it!
Still can't quite believe it and am also really worried about the mri, x ray and filling I have had in the past week. I also had a bit of bleeding last week, which is worrying me now Don't know what will happen with my operation next week, will ring surgeon tomorrow.

OP posts:
covenoveneer · 11/10/2006 19:27

Don't worry too much about the filling and xray. It isn't advised to have dental work whilst pregnant but lots ofwomen do and go on to have happy healthy babies. Congratulations btw.

Munz · 11/10/2006 19:27

mri - I had one on my head when I was PG - unbeknown to me, v v ealry stages (ie under 4 weeks) my consultant said it would be fine, so fingers crossed it's fine for you to.

congratualtions

MegaLegs · 11/10/2006 19:29

Congratulations - a good nights sleep might help you get your head round it all. Don't know about MRI scans but I sat with my ds1 when he had his arm xrayed before I realised I was pg with ds3. A good friend of mine had a dental xray before she knew she was pg too. Both babies (now strapping 5 year olds) are fine and dandy.

cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 19:31

Thanks, that's reassuring. With dd I accepted it straight away and went into full excitment mode but this feels very different. I am pleased but apprehensive and worried at the same time. I suppose that's because it's not just about me and dh now, we have to consider dd as well. EDD seems to be 9th June, which seems so far away!
Could the bleeding have been implantation bleed by any chance?

OP posts:
MegaLegs · 11/10/2006 19:32

Most likely - I never had this but many of my mates did. Was it quite light?

cantsayyet · 11/10/2006 19:42

Yeah, just a bit over a couple of days. I did a pg test on Sat and it was negative and when I told dh he asked how I knew which one was wrong- end result was I have done another test and it was positive as well. Looks like I am definitely pg then... let the worrying begin.

BTW I'm actually Hayls, haven't changed my registration settings back yet

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/10/2006 20:43

Congratulations Hayls

Hayls · 11/10/2006 20:49

Thanks, I take it you didn't know who I was then? (had a slight panic I must admit )

VeniVidiVickiQV · 11/10/2006 20:57

No, I thought it was someone else - thank god i didnt name and shame

I do recognise your name though
