A wonderful question about periods and pregnancy.

Right. I know the answer is to just take a bloody test but it has only occurred to me in the last hour that I might be pregnant.

TTC but DTD early last month as DH was away. Basically day after period and then a couple of other times maybe 3 days apart.

Had a very heavy period. The real deal. Heavier than normal if anything but about 4 days early. I am always clockwork. Almost to the hour. Didn't think anything of it really. Just assumed not pregnant.

Only. My period is now a few days late. Just a few and that got me thinking...

Has anyone had a really heavy bleed and still been pregnant. I have a DC already and had no bleeding at all in that pregnancy.

Anyone have any thoughts. Sunday tomorrow and live in arse end of nowhere. Will have to wait until at least Monday to test.

Somebody must know SOMETHING!

I've heard of people bleeding around the time of a period whilst being pregnant, but not a substantially heavy bleed especially heavier than one would normally expect. I'm no expert though, I suppose anything is likely in fertility.

Could it have just been a one off early period though? They do happen even if its once every couple of years. In the last 12 months I had one 25 day period, and I can't recall that happening ever in like the last 10 yrs at least.

Hope you can get to the shops soon!

It honestly hadn't occurred to me to do a test until a few hours ago. I suppose there is only one way to know for sure. Was hoping of some anecdotes of yes/no in the meantime!

With my ds1 I bled very heavily in fact so heavily I had no idea I was pregnant until I was nearly twelve weeks. Was just like my usual period.
I hope you get the result you want.
Sorry for the short reply only have one free hand!

Thank you. So it is a possibility then! I will be happy if I am but also happy to wait if I'm not.

12 weeks though! Wow. No wonder you didn't know.

Right. Still no period. Tested and it was negative. Anyone have any ideas or do I just sit tight and wait?

My periods are clockwork. Seriously. This is unheard of. Going by the start of last months, it's 10 days late. Am not googling.

Right. If I google and it tells me my arms and legs are going to fall off I blame all of you.

Mmm. Difficult. It must be really annoying for you. I think I'd probably wait another 2 or 3 days then maybe ask the docs to do blood test? Good luck.

Hi expedition, I had a bleed 2 weeks ago last Friday, it was only a wipe worth and then we dtd and I bled loads. I was due on af last Saturday and did a test at the drs Monday which was negative. Did a test today and it's positive GrinGrin xxx
