And did you take any supplements? Change your lifestyle? Anything else you did that you think helped it to happen in the end?

Give me a glimmer of hope ladies, it's been 9 years here and counting. Smile

Just ordered some chasteberry tablets. Probably wont make an ounce of difference, but I have to pass the time somehow. Smile

Yes!! A seaweed wrap did it for me. Wasn't trying it as a method though...

DHandhisgrossfoot · 12/10/2014 22:21

That's... odd. Smile

How much was it? Was it at a spa?

My husbands uncles wife fell pregnant naturally after 14 years she has just had a little boy. I don't know what she did differently but it does happen

iniquity · 12/10/2014 22:26

What have you tried so far? Do you have unexplained infertility?

DHandhisgrossfoot · 12/10/2014 22:29

Yes, DH sperm is fine and they can't find anything wrong with me.

IVF is not an option for us right now, financially.

Instead of getting worked up over it every month I've decided to put it out of my mind and not stress over it anymore, if it happens or not I've made my peace either way.

I had a friend who got pregnant after TTC for seven years. It turned out she was ovulating just at the end of her period. She wasn't keen on sex with her husband, and had always used her period as an excuse to turn any advances down during times of perceived low fertility. Once she figured out where she'd been going wrong, she went to have another two in less than four years.

lotsofcheese · 12/10/2014 22:38

Yes, 2 friends.

Friend 1 started TTC at 35, it never happened & she had accepted it would never happen. She fell pregnant naturally at 42 & now has a little boy.

Friend 2 had DS after TTC 1 year. Had a MMC when trying for DC2, after 2 years TTC. Gave up at that point. Fell pregnant naturally about 3 years later & has just had a DD.

No, not expensive expensive - it was a room attached to a gym and was an hour long wrap and massage with an aromatherapy lady. Must've removed toxins or something? Or that famous adage, relaxed.

Have you tried soy isoflavenes ? These worked for a lady who had been trying for 4 years on baby centre.
Some people swear by acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

threepiecesuite · 12/10/2014 22:56

Share out the hope please, I'd like some. ttc#2 for 2.5 years here.
Our only issue is my one blocked tube.
Can't afford ivf either.

DHandhisgrossfoot · 12/10/2014 23:09

Oh no, I hate Mars bars! Sad

Is soy isoflavnes an estrogen booster? I've never heard of it.

DM started trying at 21. Had me at 39! So it can happen, keep faith.

My cousin married aged 19. Started trying for babies. It didn't happen. Aged 41, she thought she was going into the menopause - but she was pregnant after 22 years!! Now has a little daughter.

6 years TTC for me so far - I need to hold onto every positive story.

NewEraNewMindset · 13/10/2014 10:45

Yes, my partner's Mother. They had unexplained infertility, married young and couldn't conceive. Gave up and she became unexpectedly pregnant at 37 and had my partner.

OP I hear such good things about acupuncture, have you tried that?

DHandhisgrossfoot · 13/10/2014 12:45

NewEra, no not tried acupunture. Not skeptical of acupuncture as such, just worried about finding a good one.

I am going to see a Zita West affiliated one next week for the first time. I think she has a list on her website so it might be worth having a look and seeing if there is anyone near by.

I got pregnant naturally after 12 years of trying. I had already had 9 rounds of IVF and four children so it was a bit of a shock.
We were always unexplained but I was diagnosed with coeliac disease two years ago which was the cause of our problems. Had been tested but I have negative antibodies but positive biopsy. Should have pushed for more tests 15 years ago when I started to get ill with it.

Also friend had twins from IVF at 41 then conceived naturally two years later.

And husbands auntie had two kids 13 and 15 years after marrying.

It does happen. Good luck.

I'm pregnant after trying for 7 years! I am 35 years old. It happened the natural way, when I was ready to have an Ivf. I was really disappointed the months before. I was conviced that I'll never be a mother. So I changed my whole life. I focused on my needs only. Stopped being friends with people who didnt understand and found other friends in dance school and graphic design school, which I started this year. I was having fun after so many years of crying for infertility. Then I programmed an Ivf without a hope. I just wanted to try everything, so I wouldn't regret it later in my life. I had endometriosis and laparoscopy 2 years before. I had 2 early miscarriages after that. Doctor told me to start low dose aspirin since then. Three months since my last miscarriage I was pregnant again. When I saw the BFP, I called the doctor and he prescribed me prezonol, progesterone, heparin injections, filicine, and aspirin. So here I am 16 weeks pregnant! I think that aspirin, the change of my attidude and this perfect doctor made the difference this time! I never tried Ivf or clomid. I changed 10 doctors in 7 years and all of them told me that I would be pregnant and carry to term, only if I had Ivf... Of course I am still afraid if something bad happens but its the furthest I've ever been!

Ginmonkey84 · 18/10/2019 15:59

I got pregnant naturally two times in a row after being off the pill for 12 years. I had IVF in 2012 and had my twins from that but never expected to fall pregnant on my own so no birth control. I did fall pregnant and when I miscarried I thought that was my only chance over. I was pregnant the very next month and I’m now 19 weeks. It’s so so hard but it sometimes come when you least expect it. Try and keep faith and look after yourself. Good luck x
