Hi everyone. I'm about to embark on another 2ww (ovulating today) and wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same position who wanted to come along for the ride!

Only cycle 2 TTC #2 but took 13 months last time so crossing everything!!

Hi Ladies, can I join?

TTC #1 Cycle 1, just entering my first ever 2WW! Came off BCP 3 months ago to see if I could get a bit regular first, back to a 32day cycle which i remember being before i started BCP.

I'm really thinking this is not going to be my month, it's only cycle 1 and both hubby and I have health issues that go against us so we will be v. v. lucky if anything came around this month, BUT no harm joining the 2WW GrinGrin

Congrats to everyone so far who has a BFP

Bobian123 · 28/09/2014 15:20

Hi ladies, am joining back in after last month too! Hi to those who have done the same and welcome to new joiners! Rainy I think we are fairly close as I think I O'd on weds/thurs. I'm going to attempt to hold out on any testing til next Sun (hahaha - as if).

fruity really really sorry AF is here and its been taking a while trying. It can be such an all consuming and frustrating venture. Sending hugs x

alien11 · 28/09/2014 15:53

fruity sorry about AF arriving :( it's such a nerve wracking + stressful time.x

candypop · 28/09/2014 15:53

fruity so sorry to hear. Have a glass of wine ... Or two ..... We are here to support you if you need to vent.

59sound · 28/09/2014 16:13

So sorry fruity. Really rubbish and frustrating Flowers

Fruityb · 28/09/2014 16:28

I won't vent too much as I don't want to take someone's thread off point or pass on my irritation and ruin someone's positivity.

I'm calmer now. There were tears and punching of soft furnishings this morning. My OH was out and I was glad as I don't want to take it out on him. It's neither of our faults it's just so frustrating. I guess the reality of how easy this isn't just gets me every month. Period pains and headaches not helping, nor is the fact I have planning and marking to do!

Onwards to next month... again. And this time if I'm late I'm not even thinking about it till im a month late!!! My body has done four days late one month and a week late another. As soon as I get excited it does this to me. I guess I just thought I'd be there by now.

Hate the world today. Hate being a teacher as I just want to sit and be annoyed and I can't! Hate setting everything back to zero each month.

Apologies for my obvious bitterness this morning. I do like having here as an outlet as while I do have people to talk to its sometimes nice to have people there who get it :)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 28/09/2014 19:32

fruity so sorry that AF got you. If you'be been trying for over a year it might be time to take a trip to the doctors so that you and OH can get checked out. It can take a normal healthy couple over a year to conceive. Is this your first? Apologies if it isn't don't want to sound condescending. Do you chart your cycles at all? Are you certain that you on when you think you do? I only ask as you have been quite late on a number of occasions now and it could be that you are ov'ing later than you think. If you don't chart I would recommend OPKs and temping! Again Apologies if you already know this, it took 13 months to conceive my DD (I have PCOS and did not of most months) so I completely feel your pain! WineThanksCake

Welcome dog fx'd for you ??

I've only been late twice. I use an app that tracks everything and I normally get AF bang on the day it says. You could set your watch by them lol.
I have used OPKs and have had positive ones so at least the hormone is there.
If I had to think of a reason I would hand on heart say we're just not DTD at the right times. I can say we probably miss the ov time though the one time everything went right I was a week late that month.
It is my first yes. We both work hard and probably don't get it on as often as we could as we both crash out when we go to bed. I just think we need a month of boinking lol.
We will get there. I just don't want to make it clinical with everything.

alien11 · 28/09/2014 20:47

fruitysounds like you need a summer holiday. Teaching is incredibly stressful , I am a qualified primary teacher but not world since having my daughter.

AF is due next weekend so think I'm currently 8/9DPO according to my OVia app and I know ov time as using the clearblue dual hormone test.
Have tested with Internet cheaply and got a bfn. No symptoms whatsoever so not holding out any hope. Can't remember what/if I had any with my daughter!
I'm going to hold out until closer to the weekend then if no AF will probably test Friday as I am so impatient!

candypop · 29/09/2014 08:44

Morning ladies!

I have a question for ovulation experts on here!

When you get a positive on OPK, does that mean you are about to ovulate? So when you get this, shouldn't you DTD that day and maybe the next two days to have it covered?

Just getting confused as my fertility app highlights 5 fertile days with the last day being ovulation .... Why wouldn't it highlight a couple days after ??!

Just trying to plan out DTD Days Grin ... So romantic Hmm

Baffers100 · 29/09/2014 09:48

So AF arrived yesterday. I was really disappointed but feeling more positive now. Realistically, it probably wasn't going to happen after one month anyway. I did feel a bit like a failure with a shitty body yesterday, but I'm also glad I'd got a proper period 5 weeks aftre coming off the pill.
We're not trying next month as we don't want a baby born in the summer months as we think it's detrimental to them to be the youngest in their year (DH is a teacher), and now I am thinking I want to move jobs but don't want to move somewhere and then instantly go on maternity leave. Hurgh, think I'll end up staying here and not being paid what I'm worth :(

candypop · 29/09/2014 10:47

Ah sorry baffers, you can relax for the next couple of months and try again! I kind of felt the same last month (high expectations as we conceived DDC1 on first go) but realise we were just very lucky last time.

This will be the last cycle we will try then a break for two months for the same reason.

However I think detrimental is a big strong ! Both my DH and brother are august babies and well.... They both have very successful careers earning a lot of money!

I do think it potentially could be harder for them in the early years but this was definitely not true for my brother as he always excelled even being one of the youngest in the year Smile

(Feel like I have to stick up for summer babies even though I'm being a hypocrite and taking a break last month if it doesn't happen!)

alien11 · 29/09/2014 11:33

Did another cheapy test -bfn. Af not due until Sunday but was intrigued!

Having ov type pains so think AF is on her way :-(

Re summer babies- I agree candypop to begin with younger ones can struggle but they all catch up in the end :-) I'm also a qualified primary teacher just stay at home mum at the min. Be a shock to my system when I go back into that stressful job!
baffers sorry ertd arrived :-(
I will just keep ttc throughout the year as not even sure I'll be lucky to have another. Time will tell.

59sound · 29/09/2014 11:56

Bfn for me too this morning Sad. AF due on Weds so feeling pretty miserable right now. Shouldn't have expected anything from cycle 1. Hey ho...

Baffers100 · 29/09/2014 11:57

On the plus side, had a big glass of red yesterday!

alien11 · 29/09/2014 13:26

Sorry to hear about bfn 59sound hopefully you will have bfp soon. Could it possibly too early to test? Can't remember from my first time! I hAd bfn this morning but I'm not due until Sunday but not holding out any hope.
Yay to vino baffers

alien11 · 29/09/2014 16:29

Random -anyone know about positive ov tests close to when AF is due?! Pregnancy test= negative but ov= faint line.

I didn't even get a faint ov line when the cbfm dual hormone thingy said I was on high & peak ( thought I would compare!)

Another 2ww thread!!!!!
alien11 · 29/09/2014 16:34

Oh and I must add I'm not thinking I'm pregnant from this result at all! In just intrigued about the hormones in my body at this moment in my cycle

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 29/09/2014 19:32

Sorry for all the BFNs/hag whore arrivals. It does suck!!

alien I think you have to get a positive OPK for an indication of upduffedness. Although you have a line it is faint and therefore negative for the OPK. Apparently OPKs can also detect a hormone that is present in pregnancy (not sure which, don't think it's hcg) and some women find that they get positives sometimes before they see a BFP!!!

Not saying your not upduffed though. Still plenty of time. Might be too early to test. You're about 8/9 DPO, yes? Eggy might not even have implanted yet. Keeping finger toes (but not legs Grin) crossed for you!

alien11 · 29/09/2014 20:45

Ah ok thanks mooley
I hadn't read it correctly. I haven't had anyone's on them at all so thought it was positive. I showed peak ovulation on 20th sept- so yes 9 dpo.

candypop · 30/09/2014 22:06

How's everyone doing today?

Currently on CD12 so in the midst of the fertility window! DH and I are working very hard at it .... Was too tired to DTD last night so instead this morning at 5am when I went to the loo I thought why not and woke up DH for it Grin .... I said id try to be more relax about it but today at work I have written up a timetable for the next few days Hmm . Still wasn't sure whether to go for the ED or EOD so went for in between so doing it every 1 1/2 days .... Yep I have officially gone bonkers ..... I think it's a good thing I'm taking a couple months rest if this month doesn't work Blush

59sound · 01/10/2014 07:05

Good luck candypop!

I'm on cd29 - AF due today so will see what happens. Just want to get it over so we can cracking on next month Smile

59sound · 01/10/2014 07:05

*crack on (stupid auto - correct!)

candypop · 01/10/2014 08:17

Ah FX that AF doesn't turn up! Do you feel like it's on it's way or do you feel different?

boulie · 01/10/2014 09:41

Hello everyone, can I join you?

My cycles are a little irregular so I'm not actually sure how many days past ovulation I am, I was going by cm. however, my period is due this week and I'm just not feeling myself. I'm very tired, crampy, really constipated (sorry tmi!) and having to wee all the time (very unlike me).

TTC #2 and driving myself mad. I promised myself I wouldn't test until the end of the week..

Fingers crossed for you all!
