So confused.. Did I have a 'chemical pregnancy'? :(

Hi all, so this is the way my story goes.

On Thursday last week I got two BFP using FMU. I was over the moon and told my partner and my mum, who were happy too. I rang my doctors who got me in to see my midwife at the end of this month. Then I started bleeding on Saturday morning - medium flow - with a lot of cramping. The bleeding stopped Monday morning, so lasted two days, but like I said, it was medium flow and was red so it was fresh. I POAS this morning and I got a BFN :(

What's going on? Is it likely I've had a chemical pregnancy like I've read about? Any advice would be appreciated because I'm completely confused and in the dark about what to do next :(

Well, if you'd tested positive last week and got a negative today then I'm afraid to say that, yes, it looks like your bleeding was a very early miscarriage. Did you use the same brand of test and FMU this morning?

If it was a chemical pregnancy then there's not much you can do now apart from tell your GP and try again. I'm sorry.

Yes I used the same brand of test and FMU, did it as soon as I got up. On Thursday last week, the line came up straight away on both tests but today there was just nothing :(

I'll ring my GP in the morning as it's a bit late in the day now for me to get anywhere with them now. Thank you for replying Metalhead
