Sorry to be an uneducated twit with this stuff. I just randomly did an opk dip test - I've just been feeling funny the last few days so thought why not.
There's definitely 2 lines. It's been a week since I ovulated. So I sort of panicked and dipped a hcg test too - bfn.

Is my body just a little weird?

I totally agree, I wasn't testing for pregnancy as such until I saw the positive opk. I had ok intention of doing a pregnancy test at all. I don't even have a clear reason why I tested. Confused

Couldn't did last night as DH under the weather but managed this morning... Blush
Still got a faint second line on opk today so I think you're all right - I just ovulated later than I expected. Really glad I did test yesterday or I wouldn't have had any idea. :)

Actually this is a better one..

I know it's negative, just wanting to see how long it takes to get no lines... I'm curious :)

Thanks sunbathing, I think it's sparked my curiosity because I hardly ever get 2 lines at all on opk's no matter what time of day. Plus I have so many lol.

I'm only testing cos I'm nosey :)
Today's line is darker. Slightly.

Cherry, first of all take another pregnancy test and check you are not showing a line on an hpt. But assuming your not, women with PCOS do tend to get lots of false positives on opks. It might be worth having a look at the symptoms list and just checking you don't tick lots of boxes against a checklist.

*you're

CherryPie3 · 14/08/2014 17:52

Thank you sebsmummy, Is it possible to just develop PCOS? I've always had regular cycles until I had depo, I've only had 2 periods since they started again but it was a 29 day cycle which is exactly what it was before depo. Assuming it's another 29 day cycle I'm having then I'll be due AF next Wednesday/Thursday.

I did do another pregnancy test today but bfn, will just wait it out. Surprising how quickly obsession gets hold of you!

I didn't use fmu for the hpt though, may try again in the morning. The tests I'm using are 25miu (I think that's the right abbreviation...)

I don't really know if you can suddenly get it, it's just weird that you are having days and days of positive opks. Have you considered getting a fertility monitor? You can use it with FMU and it monitors both your oestrogen and LH so might give you more idea of where you are in your cycle.

CherryPie3 · 14/08/2014 18:03

Yesterday's tests were definitely negative as the test line was paler but today it's darker again. I'm confused too.

We're not strictly ttc so I don't think I'll be 'allowed' to invest in a fertility monitor - I think DH would be freaked out Grin

This test is from 5 minutes ago. 2 lines but not as dark as earlier. The opk test I did this morning was with fmu.

I think it's a good idea too Wink

In all seriousness it will help me to try not get so obsessed and also see what's going on, I haven't been in tune with my body for at least 2 years so this is helping me. :)

There will be no opk's until at least 4/5pm today as I'm working. Booo. :)

Wow they are very dark lines!! Like, extremely!

I am at the other end of the scale today, no line at all! So I think I'm gonna take Monday/Tuesday as my ovulation day, meaning I expect AF in about 10 days, in theory. Confused

Actually I think there might be the faintest of faint lines there, but still extremely negative.

Same here I think, I assumed I ovulated last week but will take Monday as actual ovulation. Then again if af turns up next week that alters the whole picture haha.

Oh to be a woman... Grin
