Hi all, please help
Am TTc number 3 and having no luck, I'm on day 14 of cycle and getting the slimy discharge I'm told signals ovulation, but clearblue predictor says " No!" Am trying for a boy this time so want to TTc as near to ovulation as poss... should I start BDing today or wait? Have failed for last few months (by waiting too long? Being overweight this time? not sure)
Any advice most appreciated.. fell immediately with DDs so none of this worry before...

weight, sorry, typing dreadful today
we'd cope financially and at least we do have a spare room for no.3 even if it isn't ideal.. I know friends with 3 in one room

Hey ladies this is more like it,.positive thought process...I am 36, with dd1 7 dd25 and dts 15months dh 42...you do have time on your side if nothing happens this month......I am still hopeful for another on my 40th!!!

comebacksummer · 16/09/2006 08:40

Another development.. hubby came home last night so upset that he'd left me in such a state that morning.. he said if I felt that strongly he couldn't bear to make me sad so we should go for it.. watch this space!!

Te he te he I like it very much....I cant wait for the continuation of this!!keep in touch!

comebacksummer · 18/09/2006 07:35

Sanity rest assured I will keep you up to date in this ludicrous scenario... suffice to say hubby thought we should go for it but in classic fashion I suspect it was too late again this month as it was the day after the +opk...so i doubt it.. sigh.. i expect we'll go through all this uncertainty again next month

At least if you conceive next month he/she will have a July birthday... all the best people are born in July [she says modestly]

comebacksummer · 18/09/2006 13:16

ha lemonaid- and to think here i was worried that it would be a summer birthday..both my dds are september so will be a shock to the system to have a summer babe if it does happen.. did you ever think it was a disadvantage?

Not academically as far as I was concerned [#], but I think there were some social issues associated with being nearly a year younger than the oldest children in the class -- I was probably quite a bit less emotionally mature than them in the early years of primary school.

Good time of year for birthday parties, though

[# - But then my mother's a primary school teacher and says that there is often a marked academic difference between the oldest and youngest kids -- but a good primary teacher will always have the relative ages at the back of her/his mind, and it'll have evened out by the time they get to GCSEs.]

comebacksummer · 18/09/2006 13:45

that is bizarre.. my mum's a primary school teacher too! You're not a teacher too are you?

lemonaid · 18/09/2006 15:18

Noooo! My mother always said that it was the one thing she didn't want any of us to wind up doing (possibly if any of us had expressed an interest in, say, streetwalking as a profession then she'd have rethought that rather sweeping statement). I rather enjoy teaching people stuff, but only when they are interested in it in the first place. I could not handle trying to teach kids who don't want to be there in the first place and even if they did don't want to learn the thing you are trying to teach them. But I doff my metaphorical hat to anyone who does...

ho ho.. you stick to helping us cybersaddos, that's fine with us!!!

Well wot a development since I last posted!! :@

I'd say that it's better that you have had this discussion prior to being pregnant.

On the other hand when you've got the ides in your head that you want to try again that feeling just doesn't go away.

My youngest 18mths has JUST started to sleep through the night prior to this I had no plans of trying for another one until at least next year. Then DH decuded to plant the seed saying that he'd been thinking about us trying for another one and thats been in since.

I took 3 months to conceive with DD1 and fell pregnant staright away with DD2 so feel pissed right off that ity hasn't happened so quickly 3rd time round. I too am a control freak and planned to have baby 3 in May... well that ain't happening now so we'll have to try for June same time as DD1 birthday.

The best of luck with your decisions ...practically we're planning on getting an extension but failing that we'll put DD1& DD2 in to share a room.

Good luck

LOL

HI saf1 !
Well good luck to you both! have just found out that a good friend of mine is preggers with no.3, and she's due in april which was my aim..!!! Have you being trying this month then to have on ein june or are you about to??? How very exciting.. i've been all over the place as you obviously can tell but now i have my heart set and it seems dh is cool with it.. of course now it will be sod's law that i don't fall pregnant- i'm very overweight which doesn't help I guess...

OMG: I'm PREGNANT!!! Would you believe it?? I thought after all the chaos between Dh and I this month and months not conceiving that there was no way we'd conceive this month but I'm 4 days late and just got two clearblue digital positives!! unless they are wrong... I'm really excited but also flabbergasted.....

congratulations comebacksummer. Have just read this thread and was planning to give you advice about doing it 7-14 days from first day of af. That is how I got my two boys in first month of trying. Seems it has already worked for you. Will you find out the sex during pregnancy???

saf1 · 03/10/2006 10:24

Wowee!!!

Congrats Comebacksummer!! I'm sooo happy for you and a little jealous!!
