Another clear blue fertility monitor question

Having had my Mirena coil removed 9 months ago, my husband and I are TTC and are using a Clear Blue fertility monitor.

This morning I decided to put the data in my Ovuview app and it said that ovulation tests were better taken in the afternoon. However, the Clear Blue monitors want you to POAS first thing in the morning.

Does anyone know the reason for this?

The reason for asking is that it hasn't picked up a peak. I should say that this is my first month of using it and I have a short 23 day cycle and chances are I ovulated between day 6 and 9 and it didn't ask for a test.

And this is why I hated the CBFM...

I think it says somewhere in the instructions that it won't work if you have a cycle that's shorter (or longer) than a certain number of days... A 23 day cycle is quite short, so check the instructions.

If I were you I'd buy some cheap ovulation tests from Amazon and then test in the evening and on days when the CBFM doesn't ask for a test so you have a better idea what's happening.

The CBFM doesn't tell you anything that other tests don't tell you... It just interprets two lines on a (vastly overpriced) pee stick which you can do yourself with your eyes! I hate that damn machine and all it's false promises.

It took us a long time to get pregnant and the CBFM just added to my stress. I had a regular cycle but a really short LH surge so peeing on one stick a day never caught it. Peeing on two did but the CBFM doesn't let you do that!!
