I started using clearblue fertility monitor 6 cycles ago.
The past 3 cycles have not shown a peak, I have several days of high but no peak at all. Any advice on what it could be and why?
Thanks in advance

I have one but haven't used it yet. I bought it then realised I have to start on my last period so I am too far into my possible ovulation...

Anyway, how long have you been trying? If there is no peak is it worth telling your GP a little white lie and say you have been trying for a year to get it investigated?

Just a thought, as not sure what it means.

Another thought may be to email the manufacturer to see what they suggest? They probably get asked these sorts of questions all the time Smile

Good luck xx

Haha! Thanks!

I am slightly too madly excited about using it. Big boys and their toys - women of a certain age and their fertility equipment! Ha!

I would go back to see your GP. Choose one you really like because they are more likely to listen to you. I would then just be honest and explain your concerns. Hopefully they will be quite helpful

If you do go, please let me know what happens

xx

Hello ladies, wanted to join in and say I've started using my monitor for the first time today! We've been trying a long time but tests have confirmed we're both fine so holding out a lot of hope with this machine!

But I'd say get to your gp, if you've gone 3 months with possibly no peak ovulation then they should re test you surely?

Hope you get some answers xx

On and off for 18 months... Had the doctors tests after 1 year, had a stressful couple of months with family illness so putting most of it down to that but decided to give the CBM a go!

So today is day 1 of cycle for me, normally 34/34 day cycles so have a while to go before getting any highs... And I read that the readings aren't always great in the first month using the machine as it's just getting used to your levels? TTC is so hard! Xx

dildoos · 01/07/2014 21:52

Yes I think I used more sticks in first 2 months! It's so tedious at times , some times I think let's stop tycoon and then I think one more try etc ! Mums net is so nice to meet others though Smile I have a 28 day cycle and day 19 is late giving me a short luteal phase this month? X

chelsbells · 01/07/2014 22:01

Yes there are definitely times when I could give up! But hoping this month is it...!

Mumsnet is the best way I've found... Haven't told many friends that we're trying as I don't want the constant questions every months of, are you aren't you? So it's hard keeping it bottled up! (TTC #1) what about you?

Yeah sounds late to be ovulating if your cycle is 28 days? Never straight forward!! Xx

I am lucky I have a daughter 6 with ex husband who has ignored her for past 3 years so DP has taken her on as his own but we would like a child together also to make too xx

Oh hopefully it won't be much longer then! Day two now, looking forward today 6 when I can start using the tests! What cycle day does the monitor normally stop asking for tests? Xx

dildoos · 02/07/2014 21:46

For me day 8 Smile first month I got a high on day 8 and a peak day 15 does funny things until it gets to know you but most fall within 3 months I've heard xx

Yeah I've read from a lot of people that it has helped, especially when they've tried before they've bought it with no success! Not gonna pin too many hopes on it though... Although it's ridiculously hard not too!! Xx
