Which band of "in the shop" (no Ebay) PG test's do you think is the best and why! And around what CD you used it and found it to be POS!

I used Clear blue with both son's, one at only 3wks and 5days! But that was five yrs ago! (well it will be on 23/09/06)!

I would go for clearblue digital - no room for question! They advertise as being able to test 4 days before period due. Good luck.

SKYTVADICT · 07/09/2006 16:02

I bought a cheap 99p one and used it on CD27 and it showed positive. I used a £4.99 tesco one the next day and it was positive too.

Good luck

tescos 7 days after ovulation
CB digi did not show + even 14 dpo
But CB normal showed a line.

But how long do the test last for the "clear blue dig" as a pos, as DH gose to work and (if i'm lucky that AF stay's away that is) I want to save and show him when he comes back!

Don't the cb dig ones keep for ages- never used one. i have used -successfully- Boots own and Superdrug...hth

desperate2bmum · 07/09/2006 17:44

i would use clearblue digital.

i didnt test until 7 days after a/f was due and i used 3 tests...a tesco one and a sainsburys one which all showed inconclusive and then i went out and brought clear blue digital and positive near enough straight away!
i shall be using my cheapo ebay ones to feed my impulses to test but when the day comes to test for real..itl be clear blue all the way!

desperate2bmum · 07/09/2006 17:45

the digital result only stays on the screen for 1 hour...but buy a pack of two and he can watch you retest

Babymad4num3 · 07/09/2006 17:57

Thanks for that desperate2bmum i'll wait till i'm 4-5 days late first, How much are they?

OP posts:
desperate2bmum · 07/09/2006 18:05

roughly 10.50 for two, or you can but them in packs of theree in tesco for about 14.50

I used ACON early preg test from accessdiagnostics, and got a faint positive on CD28. Next day did another of the same type and got same result, at same time did a clearblue digital and it said pregnant almost immediatly. I then believed in my BFP!!! I liked the way it said pregnant, and DH also liked it as there was no "is there a line or isnt there"

Downside is the word disappears after a while

dd1

mad4girls · 07/09/2006 21:05

hi babymad i used first response with dd1 and +ve result that showed up about a day before af was due

and i used a tesco own brand for dd2 and got a +ve result and i would have only been 3weeks 4 days pregnant when i did the test

also used boots own brand which told me i was pregnant when i was only "testing with a friend" coz she said you do one and ill do one she also got bfp

Babymad4num3 · 07/09/2006 21:51

DD1 AND mad4girls thnaks chicks!
